Their dedication to crafting authentic Belgian-style ales is a nod to tradition, while their innovative spirit keeps the Queen City’s beer lovers coming back for more.
Protagonist - The Protagonist Brewery is like the main character in Charlotte’s beer story, offering a plot twist with every pint. This brewery is known for its creative approach to brewing, ensuring that each visit is as memorable as the last, with a cast of flavorful characters in the form of their unique beers.
The Olde Mecklenburg Brewery & Biergarten - As Charlotte’s oldest brewery, Olde Mecklenburg Brewing is steeped in tradition, much like the city itself. Their commitment to purity, freshness, and adherence to the Reinheitsgebot, the German Beer Purity Law, makes them a cornerstone of Charlotte’s brewing history and a testament to the city’s evolving palate.
Queen Park Social - We will walk by Queen Park Social and share a bit about it’s history and what there is to do. Our tour will end nearby, so guests can choose to continue the fun by visiting QPS.

Meet at the Brewers at Yancey on the corner of Old Pineville Rd. and Yancey Rd. Go inside and ask the staff for the Big Bite brew Tour group. The location has a nearby parking lot, street parking, and it is only half a mile from the Scaleybark light rail stop.

Great beer & food! Fun time - What a fun time!! Joe was a fantastic guide & took incredible pictures. I would have never thought some of these places had such good food. I would 100% recommend this for a fun day out with friends OR even solo because you will absolutely meet friends along the way.
