- Great George Street Historic District - Time will be spent on Great George Street, exploring its numerous historical attractions, including the Great George Hotel and St. Dunstan’s Basilica.
- Province House National Historic Site - The conversation will then shift to Province House, focusing on the significant 1864 Charlottetown Conference, which deliberated on forming a new country.
- Water Prince Corner Shop - The next culinary stop is at Water Prince Corner Shop, renowned as one of the best restaurants in Charlottetown and PEI. A sample of a lobster roll and potato salad will be offered, along with discussions on PEI’s potato farming and lobster industries.
- Lobster On The Wharf Restaurant - The final stop is Lobster on the Wharf, situated on the waterfront near the tour’s starting point.
The visit begins at the Lobster Pound to learn more about lobsters, with an opportunity to take a photo with a lobster if desired.
After the Lobster Pound, the tour proceeds to the restaurant side, where insights into PEI’s oyster industry and the history of prohibition on PEI will be provided. Participants will be “shucked in” by shucking three oysters and taking a shot (water is also available). Photos or videos of the oyster shucking can be taken, and upon completion, participants will receive an official “Islander Certificate.”
