Your host for the drive tour is not only an experienced tour guide but also a chef with 35 years of global culinary experience, including the last 15 years on Prince Edward Island. Chef Ross Munro is a well-known figure in the PEI food scene. You’ll have the opportunity to taste the freshest oysters, shucked right in front of you by your tour guide, oyster expert, and chef!
He will find the perfect spot to share his extensive knowledge about these wonderful oysters, nurtured in the beautiful waters of Prince Edward Island. The island’s bays, coves, inlets, and rivers all contribute to what we call the “Merroir” of these exceptional oysters. Just as “terroir” refers to the unique characteristics of wine, Merroir describes the distinct qualities imparted by these pristine waters.
