Highlights

The Everest Base Camp Trekking Route starts in the vibrant city of Kathmandu. From there, it takes you through the Everest region before returning to Kathmandu. The journey begins with a short, scenic flight to Tenzing-Hillary Airport in Lukla, followed by a trek through a trail rich in diversity. You’ll pass through unique villages like Nurning, Phakding, Benkar, Monjo, Jorsale, and more. Along the way, you’ll encounter monasteries, chortens, and prayer wheels, and cross suspension bridges adorned with prayer flags. You’ll also get to observe the wildlife and scenery of Sagarmatha National Park. The trek follows the torrential Dudh Koshi River (the Milky River) until you reach the bustling Namche Bazaar. Namche is a true Himalayan town with interesting shops, delicious food, stunning views, and rich culture. It is also a traditional trading hub that leads you further up to the ancient monasteries in Tengboche and Dingboche.

After acclimatizing at lower altitudes, you head to the beautiful Gorak Shep and the iconic Kala Patthar for a surreal view of the Himalayas. Kala Patthar is renowned for its breathtaking views of glittering peaks, including Everest, Mt. Nuptse, Mt. Pumori, Mt. Lhotse, and Mt. Changtse. In addition to the stunning mountains, you’ll also see the majestic Khumbu Glacier, the famous Khumbu Icefall, glacial rivers, and avalanche paths. On your return from the high Himalayas, you’ll explore the authentic lifestyle of the Sherpa community and gain insight into the rich cultural heritage of these legendary people. The trek concludes in Lukla before you return to the medieval capital city of Kathmandu.

Everest Base camp 2023 - Bhuddi had planned and organized a great trip for us, along with being a huge asset for any needs or information locally. We had an amazing trip with our guide Dipak who had everything planned out for us and was very informative of local/trail information. Dipak was good at helping us pace ourselves throughout the trek. Our porters were excellent and had everything in our rooms upon arrival each day. I would strongly recommend booking with them.

Incredible experience, great guides and accommodations! - We packed a ton into our 2 weeks in Nepal and Himalaya Holiday made sure everything went smooth. From the tour around Kathmandu to the trek to Everest Base Camp, the experience was amazing. Our mountain guide Dipak was great and made sure we were well taken care of throughout the trek! The tea house accommodations were great and so was the food on the trek! Would highly recommend booking a trip with Himalaya Holiday!

Amazing EBC Trek experience - My wife and I had an amazing experience trekking to EBC. Buddhi was very helpful in planning our trip and promptly answered all our questions. He was very attentive and professional throughout our stay in Nepal and constantly monitored our progress with our guide Dipak to make sure we were healthy and safe. Buddhi and his team have many years of experience operating in this region and great relationships with all the best tea house and air travel providers. We always had excellent accommodations along the route and our helicopter return flight on the last day was on time and very smooth. We highly recommend this service to all aspiring EBC trekkers.

Everest Base Camp Trek - This trek was a wonderful once-in-a-lifetime experience. The mountain scenery was breathtaking, the local culture was lovely to get to know, and the food was surprisingly good with plenty of options (some personal favorites: Tibetan bread and dal bhat). Buddhi was amazing at coordinating, patiently (and very promptly!) answering all our questions, and was very accommodating. Our guide was very knowledgeable and fun and importantly, took great care of our safety and health throughout the trek. We’re also grateful for our porter who allowed us to travel light with only day packs. The entire team has many years of experience, which definitely made a huge difference in ensuring our trip was a success. We were initially worried about the risk of altitude sickness but this trek itinerary worked perfectly for acclimatization. Highly recommend!

Great trek, great group - Met Bodia and our guide, Dipak, the day before the trek started. Orirginal flight to Lukla was canceled due to weather. All the flights the next day were booked. Bodia was able to find a helicopter and another couple to split the cost with us. Dipak was a great guide. Extremely fun trekking with him. He was very knowledgeable, fun and pleasant to trek with. He knew what teahouse to book and we seemed to always have the best rooms. Supta was our porter. We spent some time with him every night. The trek was amazing but even more so with Dipak and Supta along. Bodia kept in contact with us throughout our trek. He and his company were great to work with. Even provided emergency evacuation when I needed it. Bodia met us at the ambulance and went to the hospital to make sure everything was okay. He went well out of his way to be sure I was taken care of. Can not say how much it was appreciated. Would definitely recommend the trek and would highly recommend this group of people. They all went well above what was expected of them

Once in a lifetime trek with amazing guide/porter/company - I just cant say enough positive words regarding Buddhi attention to detail, support to customer and personal attention. The communication, knowledge and relationship Buddhi provided with exceptional every step of the way: during reservation/pre travel, on arrival and during the trek adventure. We added city Kathmandu tour.. guide, driver was great. Weather (major flight cancelations to Lukla) and health threw in some real life changes and emergencies.. Buddhi was there every step to help us through it, provide exceptional options and support - I cant thank you enough! Our trek guide was Depak and Im so glad.. we had a good personality match. We were together for days… and he never skipped a beat. He made the trek ‘easy peasie lemon squeeze’! as he would say.. 😉 Depak’s knowledge of ‘Mountain 5 star’ teahouses really added to our fabulous adventure. Our porter was Supta and what a positive guy with a smile. Thank you for making my load/pack lighter.
