A hike to do absolutely in the surroundings of Chefchaouen! - Two-day hike around Chefchaouen, perfectly organized thanks to Chefchaouen Adventures. They are very responsive and we had all the information upstream by exchanging via WhatsApp (immediate response). We were with two children aged 10 and 17, we went through fantastic landscapes, and learned a lot about the area, from our Najib Guide. We loved the walk, the scenery, the swimming (in the water, crystal clear at the bridge of God), and the evening spent at the refuge where we were served a royal meal. It was hot, but Najib adapted to our pace, everything went perfectly!

Breathtaking hike with different landscapes - We did a fantastic two-day hike together with our guide Nahib. In a very personal way, he made it a nice adventure for our whole family (parents and 2 boys aged 21 and 19). The landscape kept changing: the first day is a lot of climbing over rocks and when you reach the top, you enter a beautiful forested area. Afterwards, you walk to the guesthouse for a delicious dinner and we had an nice evening together with Nahib. The next day is downhill and again you see many different landscapes. Ending with God's bridge (beautiful) and you can go for a swim. The hike is highly recommended for anyone who likes a bit of a challenge. Nahib is the best guide: thanks for everything! Two days of adventure off the beaten track - We have just completed 2 days of hiking with Chefchauen adventures as a family with 2 children under 10. Hiking out of town up the steep forested maze we pushed our way through densely vegetated paths observing rural Moroccan life. Women hand digging huge terraced fields, herds of goats and sheep cared for by sheppards and wild flowers in full bloom. A huge couple of days covering some 30kms fueled by some of the most homely and natural food. Yasim was supportive and accomodating all the way.

Unforgetable mountain experience - We had an amazing experience traveling in the spectacular Rif Mountains. Our guide, Mohamed El Bakali, was always cheerful and helpful, even with our unending questions. He went out of his way to identify and describe the plant life, for which I had a special interest. And he was fun! We laughed alot. The gite was very clean, beautifully situated, and quiet. They also served the most fantastic food - the best food we've had in Morocco! The mountains are incredible, very steep, rugged, and beautiful. Therefore one caution: the trails are hard. They sometimes are steep and/or slippery. Anyone inclined to vertigo may have issues. That said, if you are game, you will never forget this magical, spectacular place! Thank you, Mohamed, and Chefchouen Adventures!

Fantastic experience - Challenging trek in spectacular country! Communication with Mohamed on booking was excellent and our guide Najib was knowledgeable and great company, looking after us from pick up at our door in Chefchaouen to dropping us back. The overnight at the gite in Afeska was a wonderful experience with fantastic food. I highly recommend the trip!

Very nice hiking tour... - Very nice hiking tour with beautiful scenery! Our guide Nagib was a very nice person. He has good knowledge about the local area and plants in the mountains. The overnight stay in a small village Afaska was also fun. We had mint tea in the mountains, and saw monkeys in the wild at a distance. Would recommend the tour!

Exhilarating, rejuvenating, & well worth every penny - Incredible views. A strenuous and fun little journey for me and my 60 year old (very fit) father! Our safe, calm, and very respectful guide Najib was right on time at our door in the Medina. Najib was a patient hiker and took time to show us amazing botany along the way, even helping me gather some wild herbs, and shared information with us about local tribes and village life. The gite we stayed at was very sweet, lovely and clean, and Saida, who works there, was very welcoming. A beautiful place to unwind and enjoy tea and dinner after our first 12+ mile day spent walking uphill! Something to note: make sure to bring enough cash to tip everyone well, pay for your guide’s taxi back, not just your own, and bring enough snacks and lunch to share with your guide! It’s common, as I’ve seen in my experience, for Americans and Europeans to feel like as paying guests, they don’t owe anyone reciprocal acts of generosity. But it is important (and culturally appropriate here) to shift perspective and consider that you, too, are hosting your guide while they “host” you in the mountains. Be respectful of the beautiful lands you walk through; try not to sensationalize the differences between this place and your home, both in your mind and in the photos you take. Know this is the ordinary home of many people, just as your home may be ordinary to you. A special five stars for our guide, Najib! Najib even took time out of his day when we got back to guide us to a restaurant in Chefchaouen that I’d wanted to go to and had been struggling to find, just out of kindness. Thank you Najib and Chefchaouen Adventures for a truly fantastic experience. -Tabita
