- Chefchaouen - After picking you up from your hotel or riad in the morning, we will drive you north to the Rif region, home to Chefchaouen.\n\nUpon arrival in Chefchaouen, you’ll have 5 hours of free time to explore the city at your leisure.\n\nIn the medina, you must visit Uta el-Hammam square (the true heart of the city and a perfect spot for dining), the Grand Mosque (notable for its unique octagonal tower), and the Kasbah (which houses a garden, a museum, and an art gallery).\n\nBeyond the medina, the next famous spot is the Ras El-Maa waterfall, where the sound of water and the surrounding green hills provide a refreshing atmosphere. If you keep walking, you’ll be treated to a stunning view of the city.\nYou will return to Fes around 7:00 PM. You will then be taken back to your hotel or wherever you prefer.

Nearly all highlights of Chefchaouen are situated in the medina. The medina is compact with distinctive, vibrant lanes that are enjoyable to stroll through. Unlike the more crowded Medinas like those in Marrakech or Fez, the Chefchaouen medina offers a peaceful walk, free of the disturbances of mopeds or heavily loaded donkeys! This means you can freely explore most of the medina’s streets. Starting at Uta el-Hammam is a good idea, as it’s the heartbeat of the medina. Here, you can find the 15th century Grand Mosque and well-known kasbah museum filled with beautiful gardens and a collection of antique weapons and musical instruments from the early 18th century. In the north east, the medina meets Ras el Ma, where women are often seen washing clothes in the traditional way. Complete with peaceful ambience and charming cafes by the water!
