Barrage Sidi Chahed - During the journey, the driver will pause at a scenic viewpoint of the Sidi Chahed Dam, allowing you to capture photos of the stunning Mikkes Valley and Chahed Lake, formed by a dam in the 1990s. At this spot, you can enjoy a refreshing glass of freshly squeezed orange juice and browse souvenirs crafted by local artisans.
Province of Ouezzane - The driver will make a stop in the town of Ouazzane for a coffee break or an early lunch if you’re feeling hungry. Despite its small size, Ouazzane is steeped in history, known as a significant Sufi and Jewish pilgrimage site and a hub for the Moroccan independence movement against French colonial rule.
Laghdir - Just before reaching Chefchaouen, you’ll pass through an area abundant with olive tree groves. If interested in purchasing a bottle of fresh-pressed olive oil, the driver can stop at one of the many local olive oil producers along the roadside.

Chefchaouen to Fes
Chefchaouen - Start your day with a Moroccan breakfast, accompanied by either Moroccan mint tea or coffee, at a quaint cafe in the heart of Chefchaouen. You might even share your meal with some friendly local cats.
Chefchaouen Medina - After breakfast, enjoy free time to explore the charming blue streets of Chefchaouen. Visit the main square with its impressive casbah, gardens, and nearby mosque. Stroll through the narrow streets and capture photos of the creatively decorated streets that complement the vibrant blue walls. Numerous small shops offer handicrafts for souvenir shopping.
Ras El Maa Waterfall - Just a short walk from the Chefchaouen medina is the beautiful Ras El Maa Waterfall. It flows beneath a bridge on the road from the medina. Below the bridge, local women wash their hand-woven wool blankets in the fresh waterfall. You can also purchase a glass of freshly squeezed orange juice from a vendor near the bridge.
Spanish Mosque - For those feeling energetic, a 700-meter, 15-minute hike leads to the Spanish Mosque, offering more stunning views of Chefchaouen. The trail is paved with several staircases, and while some parts are steep, it’s manageable for those in good shape.
Chefchaouen Medina - Lunch: Back in the medina, your guide will suggest several excellent lunch spots (at your own expense).
Cascades d’Akchour - After lunch, if desired, visit the magnificent Akchour Waterfalls, about a 45-minute drive from Chefchaouen. Enter Talassemtane National Park, where a 45-minute hike leads to the first waterfall. If time and fitness allow, continue for another 90 minutes to reach the largest and most impressive waterfall.

Chefchaouen, or “Chaouen” as it is often called by Moroccans, is a popular tourist destination with its picturesque blue color, visible from far away and even more dramatic up close. The name Chefchaouen refers to the shape of the mountain tops above the town that look like the two horns (chaoua in Berber) of a goat. There are approximately two hundred hotels catering to tourists who flock here from all over the world. You will love wandering the narrow streets, seeing the blue-washed homes and their splashes of color from flowers and street art. There are also charming cafes to sit at and people watch. The local people are wonderfully friendly and welcoming. The cool mountain air is a refreshing change from cities at the lower elevations of Morocco. A chance to walk these streets is a once-in-a-lifetime dream come true, and it is our honor to make it a reality for you.
