Worth it - It is worth doing the 4 hours of travel that there is up to chefchauen, transportation and great driver, air conditioning to not spend any time hot. Several stops before you arrive so you can go to the bathroom and eat something. Then they give 4 hours to visit the city that gives plenty of time. On return you are dropped off as close to your destination as possible. The tour cost 25€

Great service, no unnecessary stops - Very good experience. Transfer from Fez to Chefchaouen, round trip, by minibus. On time departure, and stops at two panoramic points (5 minutes), and at a roadside bar 15 minutes to go to the sink and have a drink. No unnecessary stops. Free time in Chefchaouen enough to see the city. Very friendly driver. Hassan managed us from the Riad Safari Fes, and everything perfect. Very happy with everything. Highly recommended.

Excellent tour - An amazing experience. The tour is great, includes everything (transfer, hotel...) the super friendly driver and the great visit. There are stops along the way, they give good explanations and everything in a very good royo. The village of Chauen is a hidden gem among the mountains and we have had the opportunity to know the most magical corners. Super grateful. Recommended 100%.

Unprofessional driver ruins trip to Chefchaouen - The tour vehicle was an old, beaten-up minivan that sounded and rode like a tin can and the driver, Simo, was unprofessional beginning to end. He never introduced himself, nor did he make an effort to fill us in on the plan for what should have been a four hour road trip. After picking up the other 6 passengers - two of whom were forced to sit in the front seats crowded against Simo - and about an hour into the trip, we were stopped by the gendarmes at what would turn out to be one of the many checkpoints on the road that day. This would have been fine and pro forma, except that Simo couldn't find the documents they requested in the messy storage area above the windshield so we were forced to pull over until it finally occurred to him to check the driver-side visor. That began what would become a 45 minute wait on the side of the road while he went to speak with them without filling us in at all on what was going on. Having lost nearly an hour, we weren't in the mood to stop again at the tourist-trap scenic overlook without restrooms that he pulled into 15 minutes later, and asked him to continue on to a rest area, which he did so that we could all go to the bathroom at the next service station. Less than an hour later, he stopped again, this time pulling into a motel and restaurant telling us it was another bathroom break. By this point it was 11:45am, 3 hours and 45 minutes from when he picked us up, and we were less halfway to Chefchaouen, so when we came out of the bathroom, we found him seated at a table getting ready to eat we were very confused and asked him what he was doing. He replied that he had to eat breakfast and would only be another 15 minutes. Not only were all of us surprised by this since he did not in any way explain what was going on, but also he actually took 30 minutes, during which time his 8 passengers wandered around uncertain about what to do. He also responded loudly and angrily that he was entitled to take a 30 minute break for every 4 hours he worked when I asked him how much longer we would have to wait. He clearly did not care one iota about the fact that he left his 8 passengers - some of whom would have also grabbed a bite to eat if we had known what was going on - waiting and further delayed our arrival to our destination. In the end, we did not arrive at Chefchaouen until nearly 2pm, 6 hours after being picked up, when the typical travel time is 4 1/2 hours. And by the time we arrived, we were all famished and had to spend the first hour of our 3 hour visit to the blue city eating a late, hurried lunch at the first place we found. It also meant that we didn't leave Chefchaouen to return to Fes until 5:30 in order to get enough time in to see the city. Although the ride back was smoother in that we didn't get stopped again, we didn't arrive in Fes until 10pm, two hours later than we should have, and too late for most of us to get dinner. Luckily, I was able to contact our riad and they prepared sandwiches for us, otherwise we would have had to wait until breakfast to get some food. All in all, this a disappointingly unpleasant journey with a very unprofessional driver.
