• Chefchaouen Medina - The driver from Fes Desert Trip will collect guests from their hotel or Riad at 8 am for an enchanting journey to the North of Morocco, where they can discover the unique and charming small city of Chefchaouen, famously known as the “Blue City” of Morocco. The drive will take them through lush forests, expansive green valleys, dramatic gorges, and majestic mountain peaks surrounding the city of Chaouen.

Visitors can stroll through the narrow streets, painted in blue and white, of this tranquil place established in 1471 by Moulay Ali ben Moussa as a kasbah, or walled fortress, which remains accessible today. It also features a recently added, picturesque garden. Walking through the blue alleys, with sunlight reflecting off the walls, feels akin to walking under a shallow blue sea, creating an incredible sensation.

The markets are brimming with authentic, high-quality local handicrafts, featuring styles unique to this region of Morocco; including broad, brightly colored ‘sombrero’-like hats adorned with decorative thread, hand-woven blankets in vibrant patterns, and a variety of woolen garments. The town square, encircled by restaurants and cafes where visitors can taste the delightful local goat’s cheese, is another spot to enjoy, relax, and soak in the rich atmosphere.

There are numerous other landmarks to explore, such as the 15th-century Grande Mosque and the Place Mohammed park, offering breathtaking views of the Rif Mountains.

At the end of the day, guests will be driven back to Fes and dropped off at their accommodation.
