Best part of the Great Wall - Excellent day at JinShanLing with our guide, Lu Xiaolong. This is a spectacular part of the Great Wall with less crowds than Badaling and Mutianyu. Our guide was courteous, friendly, and took many pictures for us. Would highly recommend!

Awesome hike at Jinshanling - We had a private tour of the Jinshanling Great Wall today with James. It was very convenient to have James greet us in the lobby of our hotel. He arrived early, providing time for us to retrieve our passports. Despite only having three in our group, we were pleasantly surprised with having a separate driver for our minivan. On our drive out of Beijing, James pointed out the buildings and their significance, relative to the history of China. The drive to the Great Wall took 2.5 hours since we wanted to visit a less crowded area that included some original structure without repair. Along our walk, James would point out the thoughtful engineering and their relevance to protecting the sovereignty! I had read previous reviews - there are areas with careful hiking, using your hands as you climb the steps. Fortunately, the towers with ample landings were not too far apart. A few of the towers had people offering seats, souvenirs and drinks. When the hike began, we walked perhaps 4 towers when James gave us a choice between returning to the entrance of the park or continuing for nine more towers. Our 21 year old daughter was with us, so you can guess which way we went…As we walked, James would tell us which segments of the hike are the most steep and how close we were towards the end of the hike. Jinshanling is a choice part of the Great Wall without many tourists. James would point out areas to take beautiful photos, many that I wouldn’t have recognized. He took a few photos of us at each location. Our tour included lunch that was located nearby, within the Great Wall park. James asked us if we had any allergies and ordered lunch for us. He and our driver ate separately, outside our room. Our private meal had drinks available (already on our table) as we sat down - coke, beer and tea. The food was served family style and came out quickly - and, was very, very delicious! There were four dishes plus rice - more than enough food after a strenuous hike! The servers were accommodating and quite thoughtful. This tour of the Great Wall is a wonderful experience to have when visiting Beijing. Definitely, ask for James to be your tour guide!

Great Wall trip - The driver was excellent Li Jinquan. He picked us up from our hotel, to the wall and then to the airport, he was fantastic and helped us with the cable car

Exactly what we wanted - It was perfect, exactly what we wanted! The car picked us up at the hotel, the communication was very good and the trip there was very comfortable! And obviously the Wall was truly stunning!

Unique experience - Very friendly guide. Justin was patient and gave us plenty of time to take photos and answered all of our questions. We got lucky and were almost entirely alone on the Great Wall. Overall a unique experience that was totally worth it!

Hikking in the Great Wall - Excellent experience. You don't have to be an expert to do it. I have seen a section of the wall before but this one is different, fewer people and the views are spectacular. I will return again with this agency. 100% Recommended. Thank you!

Tour Great Wall - Great experience at the Great Wall Shanling with Catherine tours. The driver arrived on time at our hotel for us and gave us a farewell present. WhatsApp communication was smooth with Catherine.

Quiet and peaceful area of the wall - It was a beautiful experience. If you’re looking for a quiet spot to visit with both old and new pieces of the wall, then this is a good place. Our guide Justin was also a great help and very knowledgeable and patient with us as we took a lot of pictures. He even volunteered to take pictures of us and videos. The drive was comfortable as well. I would recommend.
