• Jinshanling Great Wall - Located 130 km (80 miles) northeast of central Beijing, the Jinshanling Great Wall is one of the most well-preserved and picturesque sections of the Great Wall, retaining many of its original features. It derives its name from its construction on the Greater and Lesser Jinshan (Gold Mountain) Ranges, earning it the nickname “paradise of photographers.”

This section is particularly notable for its 67 watchtowers, which vary in shape and size according to the terrain: some are tall, others short, and they can be rectangular or square, with three to five embrasures. Most of these watchtowers have one or two floors.

The Jinshanling Great Wall was constructed 650 years ago during the Ming Dynasty (1368–1644). Visitors can find poems and tablet inscriptions on the wall, remnants from the era when Qi Jiguang oversaw its reconstruction.

At the western end of the Jinshanling section, there is a rare three-floor watchtower, although it is currently within a military restricted area.
