Brilliant experience. - What a fantastic tour! My host, Sheldon, definitely went above and beyond when I experienced travel difficulties. I'd definitely recommend. If you're considering a trip to Chengdu, give it a go. The panda tour was definitely a highlight.

An awesome tour with an awesome tour-guide (Red and White Pandas, and excellent restaurant recommendations) - It was a great tour of the research base, Daisy picked us up from the hotel lobby early and we made our way to see the Pandas. En route, Daisy educated us on everything "Panda". Once inside the research base, she swiftly took us to spots in a sequence that minimized wait times. We got to see the pandas in action, and also got to see a newborn in an incubator. Toward the end, we spent time watching the red pandas before heading out. Daisy then dropped us off to a location of our choice (and she helped us pick between two options, and did so by telling us about the history of both places, and what to expect). When she dropped us off, she went the extra mile - took me (a vegetarian) to a vegetarian restaurant and took my friend (a non vegetarian) to a different restaurant, and helped order food since neither of us spoke mandarin. All in all, the experience was enhanced by Daisy's professionalism and her enthusiasm. Excellent tour guide, very good conversationalist and a good human! will certainly recommend this for anyone considering a visit to Chengdu.

Panda Sanctuary Tour - Lucy arranged an excellent short notice tour of the Panda Sanctuary of Chengdu. She was very knowledgeable on both the Sanctuary and Chengdu history which made it an enjoyable and informative tour. She knew each of the panda's, their enclosures and timing to visit which made it a breeze. Make sure you go early, as the Panda's are more active and it gets very busy. Thanks Lucy!

Happy Pandas - Our guide call us a day before for the pickup. Our guide was very informative and allow us to enjoy to watch the Pandas at our time and leisure. However, no able to see the Red Pandas on this trip. Nonetheless the trip to and from the base was luxury and excellent too in a continental SUV.

Panda Base Trip - My tour guide Cecile contacted me on time and was there exactly at said time. she showed me around the Panda park and interesting stories about scheuan province. It was more like walk in the park with a friend than a tour guide. I really enjoyed this trip. She adviced me on what other activities I could do around the city. It’s worth the money.

Nice trip to panda base - A nice half-a-day trip to the panda base in Chengdu. A trip you can easily organise yourself with a taxi and buying your own entree tickets (much cheaper). But the big advantage of a guide is that she knows exactly the right ways and right times to make sure you see all highlights in a really crowded park. Especially in our case the 3 baby pandas: one of 2 weeks, one of 1 months and one of 2 months (so sweet). Our wonderful guide Lucy made sure we saw it all, including the other active pandas!

Fantastic visit to the pandas - Trip to the panda base was great! Although it was crowded, our guide waited for us with everything ready and we manage to see pandas of all ages! Including red pandas too! Our guide Cecile was knowledgeable and super friendly! Besides learning more about the pandas from her, she also helped us to take tons of amazing photos and bringing us to the best spot for panda shots! Really love the cute pandas!

Good tour, bad value - Enjoyed the panda research base a lot and the tour guide was cheerful, friendly, and knowledgeable. I can not recommend this tour because of the price. For over 100$ you get a few hours of a private guide and car ride and entrance ticket. I expect much more for this price.

Very bad experience in Panda base - We had very bad experience in the Panda base. As it locates in the city, there is reallyyyy crowded. It basically is a panda zoo. Sure There are many pandas there but you can hardly see any panda as it is too crowded. The park is very big, and pandas are split, we walked a lot with the crowded people but we can’t see panda, as wherever there is a panda, where are thousands of people crowded there ,Very exhausted in the end.and very disappointed in the end. We paid more than 150$ for this half day private tour for 2 people .The tickets are around 8$ each,if you take taxi, round trip is about 20$. It is really not worth to book tour to Panda base, you can go by yourself if you don’t mind you can barely see any panda. At least you don’t waste your money. We went there on Wednesday, and it is not the peak time for travel, and it is still full. The tour guide can’t do anything to help you seeing panda better than other people, you need to be tall enough to see the panda, like above 2.5 meters high :).
