The Panda viewing is the main attraction of the Chengdu tour. Each year, nearly 100,000 international tourists flock to Chengdu’s Giant Panda Breeding and Research Center. The center, spread across several hectares, recreates a natural habitat with ample bamboo groves and houses over 50 pandas. It is the only place where you can glimpse baby pandas during the summer.

Morning is the optimum time to witness active pandas, especially during the hot summer months when pandas tend to laze about in the cool confines of their air-conditioned enclosure.

The schedule begins at 8:00am when your driver meets you at your hotel lobby to take you to the Panda Breeding Center. Here, you’ll spend roughly two hours observing pandas eat their breakfast. From babies to adults, the delightful pandas will make your morning unforgettable. The afternoon is reserved for a drive back to the city center, followed by a complimentary tour of People’s Park, where you can immerse yourself in local culture before returning to your hotel.
