- 梁家巷 - During this 4-5 hours unique cooking workshop, you’ll be taken into an authentic local spice market to explore it with fun challenges to complete and learn different species of Sichuan spices and ingredients that will be used in the following cooking class. The class will be carried out in Chilli Cool Workshop. You’ll be treated with Sichuan local tea as it’s local’s custom to treat friends and visitors. During this 4-5 hour unique cooking workshop, you’ll visit an authentic local spice market, engaging in fun challenges while learning about various Sichuan spices and ingredients that will be used in the subsequent cooking class. The class takes place at Chilli Cool Workshop, located in the city center. You’ll be welcomed with local Sichuan tea, a customary gesture for friends and visitors. A professional chef will then guide you through the cooking process in a cozy kitchen. Finally, you’ll savor the dishes you’ve prepared, accompanied by beers or beverages. This informative, interesting, and fun class promises to be an unforgettable experience.

A must do while in Chengdu!! - This was a great experience, Lance met us perfectly on time and took us to the market. He answered all of our many questions and made the market part of the trip really interesting. It’s worth noting that Lance speaks excellent English, so that meant we could really ask about everything and anything.
We then made our way back to the location for the workshop where we had a quick tea break before starting in the kitchen.
The kitchen area was extremely clean and well equipped. The chef who was working with us was really friendly and taught us how to prepare and cook 3 delicious dishes, while Lance simultaneously translated. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and would highly recommend this class to anyone visiting Chengdu with an interest in cooking/food!!

Highlight of our trip - Thoroughly enjoyed our experience! They were incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. Lance's English is superb and the chef is very skilled. The food we produced at the end was delicious and we can't wait to come back.

Unmissable Chengdu experience! - This was a truly amazing experience. Our guide spoke great English and was super friendly. He took us round the local market to buy ingredients. Then the chef helped teach us how to cook 5 delicious recipes. They adapted the menu to suit our eating preferences. They provided all the photos, videos and recipes at the end, as well as a small gift bag and certificate. The food was really delicious (don't eat too much beforehand!!).

Great cooking class! - My boyfriend and I have done cooking classes all over the world, and this one was definitely the most instructive and helpful in terms of us feeling confident in taking these recipes home and cooking them without assistance. Additionally, Lance, the market guide and translator for the chef, was incredibly wonderful to spend the day with. He is such an interesting person who provides a unique perspective on China, and we felt like the conversations we had with him were so enjoyable and enriching. We highly recommend this cooking class and market tour — it is a must if you come to Chengdu.

Bring an appetite! - One of the highlights of our China adventure. Lance, our head chef, was a lovely man who went above and beyond to make our experience worthwhile. We loved learning about Sichuanese cuisine and Chinese culture from him and would definitely recommend this tour.

Amazing local experience - Amazing experience inside the Sichuan culture and food.
周航 (Hang) is a really nice guy, we talked a lot about our cultures while teaching me much about Sichuan foods, walking in the local market, showing and tasting different local ingredients I could never find at home.
We had a nice tea break before meeting the chef and diving into the cooking, preparing 3 traditional Sichuan dishes.
I already loved Sichuan cuisine and they helped me learn a lot more, this will surely be an experience I won't forget.
I absolutely suggest this to everyone who likes cooking and is willing to dive into local culture!

Great cooking experience - We booked this cooking experience to better understand Chengdu’s cuisine.
We had the opportunity to visit the local food market with our guide Lance Zhou, who with a perfect English explained us all typical Chinese vegetables, fruits, and food in general. We also bought some food to be cooked later.
We had a nice tea experience and then started the cooking lessons, where guided by a lady chef and our guide we cooked 3 dishes. One with Chinese cabbage, one with pork belly and the last one with Tofu.
Chef and Lance were both very good in guiding us through the cooking activities and all three dishes resulted delicious.
Lance Zhou amused us with many stories on Chinese heritage and habits, he was extremely kind and helpful.
Definitely an highly recommended experience.
