A good trip - The driver was very friendly, helpful, and willing to make accommodations. But the vehicle was in a very poor condition.

Great overview of Chennai, but do your homework first - This appeared to me on the Viator website to be guided city tour, as had been the other Indian tours I had booked. However, it is just a hired car for 8 hours, which stops at various sites and you are on your own to explore them. Fortunately for me, I had done my homework beforehand; in addition to the listed sites, I knew there were some sites I wanted to see that weren’t on the list. As a Christian, I wanted to see St. Thomas Mount in addition to Santhome Cathedral, which we did. We also stopped at St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church (the Kirk). We then visited the other sites in the list. One note: to get into the Fort St. George Museum, you need to have bought your ticket ahead of time and show them the QR code. Since I didn’t know this and couldn’t get wifi on my cell phone there, I wasn’t able to visit this. My driver was very flexible, and also suggested we visit St. Mary Co-cathedral, which we did. A very enjoyable day.
