Phenomenal, exceeded all expectations, 2.5hrs - I was in Chennai for a day, so searched on Google for "Free Walking Tour Chennai" and registered on the YoTours website for a tour the next morning. Within 5 minutes the tour guide called me to inform me that the tour was to be in the evening as opposed to the morning; which actually worked out better for my schedule! The next evening we met at 17:00 outside the main entrance of Kapaleesewarar Temple. The tour lasted 2.5hrs and we walked around 7+ religious sites of historical and cultural significance. Most of the places are free entry, but the most expensive entry fee was for the Swarmi Vivekananda house for a mere 40 rupees (a must visit!) Our guide, Sharmini, was absolutely brilliant, fluent in English and extremely knowledgeable. Despite being a free tour, I tipped her 600 rupees. I was expecting a group of 15+ tourists, buy it was just me and my friend! This made the tour was super personable. Apparently they usually cap group sizes at ~4 people. Can't believe the professionalism considering 5his was a "Free tour". Definitely recommend!!
