Nice walkabout in Chennai near beach - We enjoyed our tour with Tharun. He told us a lot about the temple including practises and different stories about the gods that are worshipped. He was also knowledgeable about local culture and great at answering various questions.

Great tour (not too long, not too short) - We had a tour with Manju today and it was amazing. We didn't want to have a long 5-7hrs tour so we decided to take this tour which was approx 3 hrs. We went through mylapore and visited 4 places. Manju had some nice stories to tell with every site we visited. I think the combination of having a personal touch with stories about Chennai and the different sites was perfect. It wasn't like a tour which was a 3gr long story where you had to pay attention the entire time :) I would recommend everyone to take this tour as we enjoyed it very much! Big thanks to Manju!!

Best way to experience Chennai - We only had 1 day in Chennai and we felt like we got to see and experience so much in so little time thanks to Manju 😊 she was great at keeping in touch before we met with the arrangements and the tour was informative, interesting and fun 🤩 her knowledge was really great and her patience as I’m sure we spent longer in the museum at the end of the tour than expected … Manju also helped us with information for the next leg of our trip which was much appreciated, she is bright, friendly, easy to understand and passionate about sharing her knowledge and culture. Thank you for sharing with us today, we learnt so much in just a few hours.. so glad we signed up for this!!!

Top Temple - It was a brilliant tour, stunning dances, interesting temple, Tharon was a great guide. He explained very clearly the religious history of the temple. Nice walk to St Thomas. Tharon even taught me the correct way to eat off a palm leaf, right hand only.

Engaging Tour of Chennai - We enjoyed the guided tour done by Manju. She kept us engaged by walking us through the key temples and cathedrals, and then we had an overview of Chennai and the Marina Beach from the lighthouse, and ended up in Vivekananda House. Admin wise, Manju whatsapped me to confirm the time and place of the meetup, which is something as a tourist, I appreciate so that we are assured that the walk is going ahead. Thank you Manju for showing a tiny fraction of this beautiful city!

Unreliable and unprofessional - I had an extremely disappointing experience with Yo Tours. I decided to try their "free" walking tour. It's not exactly free, you have to pay the fixed amount of 500 rupees in the end. Upon registering I was contacted by their agent who wrote me that unfortunately no-one else signed up for the tour on that day, so they decided to consider my tour as semi-private and that I will have to contribute ₹800. I have agreed. But after 3 hours I was told that the tour will not happen. Next day I receive an email from them that apparently I have a tour booked for next day. I contact the agent again to ask if it is true or some kind of mistake. It seemed like he had no idea. He promised to "check with the team", but he never got back to me, even though I've been messaging him. And after all Yo tours sends me a message asking how was my experience. Extremely unprofessional and unreliable company.
