A full day - Our male guide was great - prompt, friendly and amusing. His knowledge of the chateaux was pitched at the right level and kept it fun. The chateaux were fantastic and well worth visiting. I had my own car with me but was glad of someone else doing the driving (2.5 hours in total).

Lovely day trip - We had a great experience on our tour. Our tour guide, Ilia, was so informative, great with our children (ages 10 and 12), and had wonderful recommendations.

Tours from Tours - Delightful day trip to both Chenonceau and Chambord with very knowledgeable, friendly guide (Ilya). If you see two chateaux in one day, this is a great combination because the castles are actually quite different from one another.

Excellent tour - The tour was excellent, we had an amazing time, tour guide provided very interesting history facts with a touch of humor and charm. We had more than enough free time at both castles and plenty of time to take excellent pictures. The tour guide provided us with excellent lunch suggestions and tips for the rest of our trip. Will definitely recommend.

Very worth it - Our guide (Ilie, I hope I have spelt it correctly) introduced the background and main characters of the Castle in an interesting and engaging way, with details not available from the internet. He was also very knowledgeable and sincere in answering different questions. The guide is the most critical for joining day tour and this tour is really enjoyable. Highly recommend.

Check The France Holiday Schedule First - Both are must see places when in the Loire Valley. My suggestion would be to check the French holiday calendar prior to booking. Eight thousand people visited on 10 May 2024. Eleven thousand on 9 May 2024. It was packed! Our tour allowed us to skip the extremely long entry lines. Well worth it! Very glad I went. If you go on your own: 1. Go early. 2. Bring a lunch. (There is a lovely, charming, riverside town between Chenonceau and Chambord. Perfect to pick up a lunch.). 3. Plan to spend the entire day.

Amazing - Our guide was extremely knowledgeable about the history of both castles. He was able to share stories and facts that we never would have got If we went on our own. He made suggestions for lunch in the town we stopped in. Overall amazing experience.

Loire Valley day trip - Jasmine and Ratri were engaging, entertaining, informative and pleasant The only issue was with the restaurant in Blois. They supposedly had goat cheese salad, but when we got there age waiter said they had no salads of any kind. He also was obviously trying to steer us to hamburgers, but we are Americans. We don't go to France for hamburgers. He would not let me order anything that I chose on the menu. My friend asked for the butternut squash soup NO bacon. He brought her one with tons of bacon in it. The risotto was to die for so lunch was saved. My recommendation is go prepared to eat a burger.

Interesting Day Tour - We really enjoyed our tour and appreciated stopping for lunch in a charming village on the way. We recommend the full day tour as it allows for more independent exploring time. The guided historical context was informative and entertaining, but wished there had been more of it, hence the 3 stars.
