Tipasa and Cherchell - The visit to Tipasa was amazing. The Roman and Byzantine ruins were on cliffs right up against the Mediterranean Sea which was very stormy the day we were there. Zack’s was an excellent guide and we enjoyed a fantastic meal at one of the seafood restaurants in Tipasa. We ended the day with a visit to the incredible Royal Mausoleum of Mauritania.

Absolutely amazing archeological adventure - I booked this tour through TA’s sister company Viator. Riad the tour guide was waiting for me in reception on time, shortly followed by our driver Amine. Cherchell (a busy small port town on the med) is approximately 75 minutes drive from Algiers. It has a beautiful town square with fountain and elephant trees.it is the meeting point for the residents to meet, chat and put the world to rights. It is also home to one of the best small museums I have ever visited. And this is where I found that my tour guide Riad is an incredible fountain of knowledge. He made history come alive with such amazing enthusiasm. I think we spent two hours in the museum - I would have gladly spent longer listening to Riad give exciting (Algerian) Roman history ! Tipaza. Just along the coast are they important Roman ruins of Tipaza. It’s an extraordinary mix of Roman, Phoenician and early Christian ruins overlooking the med. Again Riad made history come alive, and I visually and mentally stepped back in time to be surrounded by merchants, soldiers and sailors in this port town of old. A stop on the way back at an incredible mausoleum dedicated to an Egyptian Princess rounded off one of the most educating history tours I have ever taken. A private request to stop on the way back to hotel to take some extra photos was no problem at all. Riad was brilliant - Amine his driving wingman - made the day so very special. Highly recommended

Well worth the price - I did not realise this was a 1-1 tour with just yourself, the guide, and driver, and for the information and sights you got to visit in this long day makes it incredibly worth it. Jasmin was an excellent guide and the sites themselves were breathtaking. Jasmin also provided excellent food recommendations and made the entire day a fun and worthwhile experience.

I can rate as a MUST in a trip to Algers ( and I had a very short one) - Views pf Roman city and the Mediterranean are outstanding, nice stpp in Cherchell ( Cesarea) totally different from Algers. Memorial to Cleopatra’s daughter is the cherry on the pie 100% recomendable.

A nice cultural day trip - I was picked up on time by a taxi driver who operates on behalf of Fancyyellow. He was talkative and a nice person. We picked up Othmane the official guide on our way to Cherchell, which also was our first station. We visited a museum for ancient statues. This was a fascinating experience, Othmane was knowledgeable and could comment in nearly all of the statues. We also tried to visit a mosque which was unfortunately closed. Our 2nd place was ancient Tipaza, with all of the roman buildings. I could only state the same opinion as the stay in Cherchell. Then I had a lunch with a recommendation of Othmane, I took my time for it, so there was no rush at all. After Othmane left I visited my last station (Mausoleum of Mauretania) an UNESCO-Sight. I could also take my time as my driver waited outside. After I headed back to the car, he brought me back to my Hotel. To cut this to the chase: A must-see trip to see the rich ancient culture of Algeria.

A beautiful visit - I had an excellent day, I had a private visit since I was alone with the Guide, very friendly and having a very good knowledge of the place and their history. The Tipaza site is really beautiful, unfortunately we can not see everything because it is huge. Despite everything we take the view!! Premium benefit, a taxi picked me up at my Pension in the morning, took me to Tipaza then Cherchell, and in the evening back to Pension. Really feel free to choose this excursion, I recommend.
