We thoroughly enjoyed... - We thoroughly enjoyed Gerry's tour. He shared his encyclopaedic knowledge freely and in a fun way. The tour covered a range of varied and interesting places . We can highly recommend this tour.

The Beauty of North Wales! - Our tour guide, Jerry, was delightful, and very knowledgeable about Wales. The Victorian town of Llandudno was enchanting, and Conwy Castle was magnificent. Then we were off to the countryside, and it was breathtaking. It was an absolutely lovely day,

Great day in North Wales - Jerry was an excellent guide. Very knowledgeable and took us to some really out-of-the-way places. Lots of short walking time in and out of town. Highly recommend it as an introduction to Wales! And lots of fun.

North Wales Magic - What a fabulous day hosted by Frank our driver with style - , he was educational , entertaining and a few ‘ dad ‘ jokes thrown in for good measure ! I’m amazed what we saw - and very glad I did the tour rather than drive myself with some off the beaten track roads handled with great care and expertise by Frank . A great mix of stunning countryside scenery with coastal beauty and some interesting towns . An exhilarating day topped off with walking the longest and highest aqueduct . Highly recommended - don’t miss this !

Be ready to surrender to the experience. - The most memorable part of this experience was the ride in the bus. Be aware that if you book out of Chester, the bus arrives full from Manchester and you are given the last seats in the back. You may be separated from your travel partner and worse, given a seat in the last 4 person bench seat. This is not made for 4 adults. 4 middle school children, maybe. It makes for a very uncomfortable experience. It will override the stops and scenic details of the day.

Tour fairly good but could be better - The actual tour itself was quite good, but a lot of the information given out by the tour guide Jerry was completely and at times wildly inaccurate, in fact, he got nearly all of the history wrong, especially the English - Welsh history, and I’d be happy to go through it all with him sometime if he would like me to :) Also, the drop-off in the evening was a bit awkward as well, as the host Jerry didn’t say thank you and goodbye to the guests who were disembarking from the bus Also, and I know it’s not exactly the tour companies fault, but I found that the other passengers on the bus were not really very friendly either, despite us all spending a whole day together on the tour Just my personal observations, anyway I appreciate that different people may have different views And as I say, the actual tour itself was quite good Overall, Two out of five

Very disappointing to not travel on the booked 16 seater minibus, but go on a large coach instead. - Very disappointing to go on a large coach when the Full day/150 mile sightseeing Day Tour to North Wales from Chester was chosen due to the statement on their website ..... 'also use our 16 seater luxury minibuses always ensuring everyone has plenty of seat space and a full window view'! The 7 people waiting at Chester were in shock when they realised we were part of a nearly full approx. 44 seat coach. All of us had booked this day tour because it was a mini bus tour. The itinerary and commentary were wonderful with Gerry and driver, no issue there at all. But the large coach did not provide the small group experience that we all value. 'Small' has so many advantages ....one being exactly what they say on the website ...'perfect for exploring areas and routes not accessible to full size coaches'...secondly, easy access to asking the driver questions, much better views from both sides in a mini bus, much shorter queues getting on and off the bus. Also disappointed with Team Busybus and their return emails when seeking an explanation, as their website advertises a 16 seat mini bus specifically from Chester, the reason we all booked it. The offer of a partially reduced rate for an additional day tour in compensation, which then changed to a full reduction, was not practical as we were leaving Chester the next day and it is probably my last overseas trip. Very disappointing that this company could not see the false information on their website regarding this tour from Chester. Yes they use large coaches from Liverpool which is what picked us up from Chester, but very sad that they did not follow through with their website promise of a small bus. Probably because there were only 7 at Chester. But no communication was made prior to our trip to say that a large coach was now being used. We really value the 'Small group' experience. Highly recommend you check before booking with Busybus from Chester, that you are going to receive what is advertised on their website. Lynne, June 7th day tour, 2024

Unfortunately this is bad review refers to the company, not the tour venues nor the guide. - A minibus tour to North Wales from Chester - booked November ‘23 for tour in early June ‘24. Very excited ! Had done an 11 day and another one day minibus tour with other companies already on this trip. Why book a minibus tour? Because that was exactly what WE wanted! We were shocked and upset when a huge coach turned up late at Chester station - almost completely full ( and to make it worse, with about 20 teenage school students!!) THIS was not what we had booked and paid for and looked forward to. We were very annoyed that NOBODY from the company had bothered to contact us to advise of this big change. What did we do ? We contacted the company by email immediately asking why we had not been informed and explaining our extreme disappointment that we were on this huge coach. The tour destinations were of course beautiful, the tour guide excellent and sympathetic, no complaints about that, except that of course we couldn’t enjoy the advertised ‘off the beaten track’ experience only possible in a minibus! The responses in emails from the company got worse and worse. We were shocked to be treated so dismissively and with such disrespect and dishonesty. They simply justified themselves saying a large coach was ‘an upgrade’ and made statements that claimed ‘off the beaten track ‘ meant places other tours don’t take you, ( which is contrary to their advertised information). No matter how we explained the very different and , to us, far more enjoyable experience you have on a minibus in comparison to a huge coach, they insinuated we were making a fuss about nothing. All we wanted was an apology and for them to admit that we should have been informed of the change from what we had booked, giving us the option to cancel. That would have been satisfactory. I’m sure if we had been given the vehicle we booked for our tour We would have had nothing to complain about, but others who also book minibus tours will fully understand why we are so upset with the company for just ignoring our order and then being so dishonest and dismissive when we made a complaint. All I can say is BusyBus is a very rude, dishonest, unprofessional company who need to wake up to the fact that customers actually know what they want and book what they want. I hope they learn from this so nobody else is as disappointed as we are. I have no doubt that they will respond justifying themselves, but I am a genuinely disappointed customer, who has been completely honest about our experience.
