Great fun with a little history added in - We had a fantastic time exploring the city and it took me to many places id never seen before, we did this as a team exercise and competed against another team so we did rush it abit and finished in 2 hours but on a sunny day and no competitive nature needed this would be a lovely walk for anyone especially if you like a little history.

A great way to explore Chester. - It was great! It was exciting, fun and tricky but not to hard to make it last forever. It was great being able to explore the city with a goal in mind. I highly recommend this to families visiting Chester on a holiday who want to know the place.

Great day - Went today as a family, it was a great experience, saw parts of Chester I would never of noticed, the clues were cryptic enough to challenge you and kick yourself after a “hint”. We all really enjoyed the day and going at own pace was great. Well done to the organisers

Really good activity 👍🏻 - Really good way of exploring the area! It took us to places we wouldn’t have normally explored. It also kept 2 12 year olds entertained especially with a trip to the cafe for ice cream!

Absolutely Brilliant! - We absolutely loved Captain Bess's Treasure Hunt! It was a fantastic way to explore the city, have our brains tested with the clues and some of them where sending us crazy (in a good way)! Loved all the snippets of information you got too, so interesting and the little detours to viewpoints. We had such an amazing time and will be not only booking another treasure hunt in another city, but we will also be going back to Chester to explore all the places we went on the treasure hunt. We did the hunt as a family, we had our 10month old daughter with us and can safely say, the routes are buggy friendly and alternative routes are provided where steep steps and slopes are included. She loved it, being able to see so much around her and even nap on the route too. We thought it was fantastic. Thank you so much!

Fantastic way to see a city and great fun! - We did this treasure hunt in Chester as part of a a hen weekend. It was fantastic!! Really easy for everyone to use, a great way to see a city and see things that even locals aren’t aware of, and everyone had a brilliant time. When we couldn’t get the clues easily the hints were really helpful. The booking was super simple easy, as was accessing it on the day. The communication from Ian prior to booking and once booked was excellent. We’d all recommend this to others wanting to an explore a city and I know that most of the people in our party and planning to use again for seeing other cities, with friends or with their families.

Fabulous Chester treasure hunt - What a fantastic experience! We’ve been to Chester many times before but have never learnt about the place. We saw so many places that we didn’t even know existed and learnt a lot of interesting facts. The weather was fantastic for us which was a bonus and of course meant that we had to rehydrate at a few watering holes along the way. Some of the clues were a bit tricky but we got them all in the end with the help of a few hints. My advice would be .. wear very comfortable shoes! There’s quite a lot of walking and some of Chester is cobbled so trainers are advised. Great day out! Well done to the guys who organise it and I would definitely recommend it.
