Animated tour of Roman Chester - Gaius was extremely knowledgeable, animated, open for questions and mindful of the whole group. The highlight was a trip into a shop cellar where remains of Roman columns were found - not expected. A worthwhile trip and a memorable experience! Thank you!

Great introduction to Roman Chester - Fascinating tour by Julius our Roman soldier guide. Would highly recommend to anyone interested in the Roman history of Chester. The underground history was fantastic, under the Prêt cafe. I did feel a bit guilty having booked afternoon tea in the Grosvenor Chester hotel, when I heard how Grosvenor himself paid for the destruction of the old Roman Baths in order to build his hotel, absolutely shocking this was ever allowed to happen …..

Sextus the Romain Soldier was amazing! - One of the best walking tours we have experienced and we have been on a few. Sextus our Roman Soldier was very passionate about everything he shared his knowledge with us. He played the part extremely well and also had a bag full of goodies which he shared with us. Highly recommend Sextus for this tour. Also there were only 2 of us booked on this tour and it still went ahead. 10/10 ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️

A walking tour of Chester with a Roman Soldier - a must for anybody visiting Chester - I booked this tour for me and grandson and it was such a good experience. Our Roman Soldier guide Rob (he did give us a Roman name, but I’ve completely forgotten it!) was excellent, full of historical facts during the whole tour. I found it as interesting and fun as 9 year old Isaac did. A definite must for people of all ages when visiting Chester.
