Chester in an hour - Great to be able to sit and relax on the top deck overlooking all the sights and sounds of Chester. The audio commentary was clear and easily followed. What’s not to like?

Very convenient and enjoyable - It was an exciting day out at Chester and the bus tour had made it even more fun, convenient and interesting due to the fact that we learnt so much about the city, its buildings, its history, its parks and all those places in the circuit that you wouldn't know had you not been in the city tour bus. Timing wise it was okay and maintained the schedule at every stop we hopped on. The drivers were nice and friendly. The flexibility of riding the bus anytime from any stop gave us a great opportunity to explore more in a short space of time. Would love to try this again in another city.

chester a medieval city well preserved. - Our recent tour in Chester was a fantastic experience! The city’s rich history was evident in its well-preserved Roman walls and stunning medieval architecture. We wandered through the picturesque streets, marveling at the iconic half-timbered buildings and the beautiful Rows. The guided tour provided fascinating insights into Chester’s past, making the experience even more engaging. We also enjoyed a leisurely stroll along the River Dee, where the scenery was simply breathtaking. The local shops and cozy cafes added to the charm, offering a perfect spot to relax. Overall, Chester is a delightful blend of history and charm that we thoroughly enjoyed exploring!

A great way to see Chester - Easy to understand timetable and pick up locations. Commentary was clear and informative, shame it wasn't a live person talking instead of a recording like York, but understand this trip is a bit shorter and probably less busy :) overall, we would thoroughly recommend this as a thing to do in Chester - a great way to explore the city! Also our driver was very friendly too.

Great commentary but lack of information on where to pick up the bus. - Had to wait a long time. They don’t seem to run every 30 minutes. The list of stops should be given when they confirm the booking. I asked on their chat link where one stop was so we could wait in the right place. No reply. But the commentary on the bus was fantastic. It was clear and full of information.

Nice way to see an overview of Chester - Visiting for the day, I came out of the railway station and quite literally went straight onto the hop on hop off bus! It’s a very good way to get an overview of the city and to help you decide what to explore in more detail later. The commentary is excellent, with plenty of nice local detail which would be hard to find otherwise, and the buses have been timed to coincide with the half hour river cruises in the summer too, which is a nice touch (you can buy a combination ticket). I didn’t do the river cruise on this occasion.

Bus tour Chester - Had pre booked but unfortunately staff at train station directed us to wrong bus stop! However once we found the correct one had a thoroughly enjoyable hour long tour of the city. Would definitely recommend with perhaps more direction boards at the station.

Ruined - We went on this bus tour today and I don’t know if the two extra males on the bus were employees of the company or friends of the driver but they talked very loudly throughout the journey making it difficult to hear what was being said by the narrator. I get that they may have heard the tour multiple times but us paying customers hadn’t and it was really unprofessional of them and ruined the trip for us. They either need to stop staff/friends talking or provide earphones for customers.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS - Avoid, do not touch with a barge pole. Really poor value for money considering they often can't be bothered providing the full timetable. They regularly have 'unforeseen circumstances' and therefore only run an hourly service. They won't substitute the bus for another one, so you can at least still travel. Nope, they just halve the service at little notice. Always 'unforseen' reasons. The 'coupon book' is full of useless coupons that you will be unlikely to make use of. This year the service is reduced in the off season too. Do yourselves a favour and go to another city and use another tour. City Sightseeing Chester is shockingly bad, as the photos prove below.
