Wonderful Experience - Such a great two day cruise down the Mekong! Everything was so well organised and ran smoothly. We were picked up from our hotel, guided through the visa process crossing the border into Laos, on board and relaxed in no time! The meals onboard were delicious, some of the best we had during our 5 week holiday. The overnight stay in Pak Beng was interesting, there are quite a few small restaurants along the river so we went for a wander to find somewhere to have dinner as the restaurant was closed at the hotel we stayed at. Due to the Mekong River levels being quite high we only stopped a few times for sightseeing, one local village, whisky village and caves. This suited us fine as we were quite happy chilling on board and enjoying the beautiful scenery. Transfer to our hotel in Laos was also included at the end of the trip, great service. Would highly recommend this cruise and plan to do this again ourselves perhaps in reverse from Laos to Thailand next time just for fun.

A must! - Picking this particular boat cruise was the best decision to travel along the Mekong River. The tour guide was very helpful during the two days we travelled along the river, as well as when we booked the tour itself. The family on the boat were so lovely and the food they cooked for lunch on both days was amazing! We chose to stay in The Sanctuary hotel for the night in Pak beng and it had the best view of the river (the price of this was included in the cruise total price). The weather was bad on day 1 so we only had a short stop to a small village but on day 2 we visited the whisky village and the Pak ou caves before arriving at Luang Prabang where a minivan was arranged to take us to our chosen hotels. Highly recommend this trip to anyone visiting Laos or Luang Prabang specifically.

Perfect! The best way to get to Luang Prabang... - A wonderful trip and one of the highlights of our holiday to Thailand & Laos. Definitely the best way to travel from northern Thailand to Luang Prabang. Everything was smoothly organised and ran to time. Our guide was lovely - very friendly and helpful. We were worried that our three teens (18, 15 & 13) would get bored but they loved it too and made use of the lounge area to catch up on their sleep! I was also worried about feeling unsafe as I knew the river would be full during the wet season and although you would definitely not want to go overboard, I felt safe at all times. We also enjoyed chatting with the other passengers from all around the world and it has been lovely bumping into them again on our travels through Laos. The crew on board were also lovely and produced delicious food. You could also help yourself to water and hot drinks all day. The boat was very clean as was the ladies toilet. There was plenty of room to spread out, we were all given our own table areas and you could sit at the bow or stern and watch the amazing scenery go by. There was a lovely breeze so it didn't feel too hot. The visits to the villages and caves were interesting and it was lovely to meet the village children. I would recommend booking directly through Nagi of Mekong. Viator had not told them that we'd booked accommodation through Viator for the night in Pak Beng. Luckily our guide was able to sort it out for us, but if I did it again I would book it all through Nagi of Mekong. We booked the cheapest option for the accommodation which was pretty basic but fine for one night. There are a couple of ATMs in Pak Beng but one wasn't working. Take some USD just in case. I can definitely recommend this trip, a perfect half way between the cheapest option and the very expensive tours.

Wonderful experience from start to finish! - From our first contact with Mr Adisak everything was organised and easy. Nothing was too much trouble and any questions were answered promptly. Even the visa process and crossing the border was a breeze. Our cruise host Mr Syphon was so lovely and made the experience that much more enjoyable. The food prepared by the captains wife was plentiful and delicious. Our accommodation and transport in Pakbeng was also lovely and we met some lovely people. Five stars. Thank you again 😊

South African abroad - The organisation and attention to detail of this tour was superb. The boat was immaculate Our Guide, Xaiyoung could not be faulted and the hostess on the boat was amazing. Free good quality coffee, tea, cold water and fresh fruit were freely available at all times. Snacks and other cold liquid refreshments were available at very reasonable prices. The buffet lunch on both days was delicious.. definitely amongst the best I have had after a month I'm Thailand. Definitely a Yes!!

Absolutely fantastic and a highlight of our trip! - From beginning until the end, Nagi of Mekong exceeded our expectations. Being on the boat was so relaxing and I feel very greatful that we had the chance to watch this stunning landscape pass by. It felt like as if we were taken back in time. The boat is in a very good shape with comfortable benches and the possibility to sit outside to admire the landscape even more. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. From picking us up at the hotel to assisting us in the visa procedure to handling our luggage, everything was perfectly managed. We could even exchange money on the boat at very attractive rates. Snacks and drinks were available at any time, the quality of the main meals was really good - one of the best meals we had in Laos. Our guide was very knowledgeable about Lao customs, people and culture. I also want to emphasise the guide's really good command of English. While planning our trip, we were debating whether to fly to Luang Prabang from Thailand but after this amazing journey, I am beyond happy that we chose otherwise. If you have the time, let Nagi of Mekong take you back in time on this stunning journey on the Mekong! This was definitely one of our highlight on our trip through Southeast Asia.
