Amazing guide Suriya. - We had an amazing full day with great activities. From feeding and washing the elephants to the beautiful waterfalls and the bamboo rafting. Our guide Suriya speaks amazing English and has a wonderful sense of humour. He has a complete knowledge about the elephants and the history of the country and the Shan state. I can't recommend the elephant sanctuary tour enough and I hope you are lucky enough to have Suriya as your guide.

It was overall a really... - It was overall a really good experience. Maggie was a great guide! I sort of assumed there would be a bit more nature during the Doi Suthep piece due to it being in a national park, but there wasn't anything about that in the description, so it makes sense. There was one lookout over the city, but there was a bit of smoke, so it was good, not great. However, the pieces that were in the tour were really well done! We learned a lot and got lots of our questions answered. The sticky waterfall was so much more fun than expected! We had a blast! Maggie was very helpful for my wife who was 26 weeks pregnant, making sure she was safe and that we weren't going too fast. She also did a great job of explaining the structure of the day, including how long our car rides would be.

Incredible tour - We can't say enough good things about our tour guide Paul. To start we requested an add on to our itinerary which was accommodated and we were never rushed to move from one place to another. Paul has a vast knowledge of Thailand history, geography, flora, fauna and Thai and Buddhist culture. He is a walking encyclopedia! We learned so much about Thailand that we never would have on our own. Thank you Paul!

Amazing Elephant Sanctuary, Monk Trail & Doi Suthep Tour with Ronnie - I did the Elephant Sanctuary, Monk Trail & Doi Suthep Tour with Ronnie, and it was amazing! Ronnie was super friendly and helpful, teaching us a lot about the places and culture. The experience with the elephants was incredible, as we were a small group of just four people and had the elephants and the sanctuary all to ourselves. It was truly fantastic, and I highly recommend it!

Wonderful Elephants! - The trip is amazing. Picked up from our hotel by our fantastic driver Chay, nothing was too much trouble, he was excellent, even lent me some flip flops! We highly recommend the full day version with waterfall and rafting. It is worth coming to the Chiang Mai area for this trip alone. The elephants looked happy and well cared for. PON Elephant Thailand is taking care of animals. Lunch was really tasty & lots of free water available. Our guide Nana was the best! If you have the opportunity to choose a guide - choose her. She told us many interesting facts about elephants, the whole of Thailand and was very funny! We highly recommend this full day adventure trip!

An unforgettable day in the elephant reserve. - We spent an exceptional day at the elephant sanctuary about 50 km south of Chiang Mail. During a walk guided by ToTu we met young elephants successively of 1 year, 6 months and a week with the mother whom we fed by feeding her sugar cane stems. We bathed in a waterfall after lunch in a shelter. Then back on a van. Bravo and thank you to our ToTu Guide for his kindness.

My Thoughts on Poi - I am going to give a really honest review about this place. When i first booked this tour i wanted to do something where I can see the elephants but of course not ride them. I wanted to do something that was ethical where I could see them up close. After reading countless reviews I figured this one seemed alright. The hike to the waterfall was awesome, the hike to see the first set of elephants was ok. Sure they seemed ok but they encourages us to splash them with cold water. And I felt so stressed out for the elephants with a bunch of tourist in front of them getting splashed nonstop for hours and getting their photos taken and told to stand still. To me this was the most unethical portion of the encounters. It did not seem like they were mistreated but I am not sure as to what “training” they endured to obey all these commands. I didnt splash them i gently pet them and took some photos from afar. The rest of the elephants seemed of and were not being splashed just fed. Some we couldnt touch at all. The rafting at the end was so nice and relaxing. I really enjoyed that. With that being said, you decide if it is ethical. I know they need money to help care for these majestic animals, i just hope they are treated good .

Forgot about us - The company completely forgot us. We had to call and eventually they picked us up. They told us our tour we originally booked and paid for was no longer available. They offered another one of their tours which was the elephant and waterfall. It felt very commercial as they are pushing hundreds of people through the sanctuary. We did another elephant tour at Care Pride Sanctuary which was much better.
