Highlights
• CHI, The Spa at Shangri-La Hotel, Chiang Mai - Begin your day with a 7:00 am pick-up from your Chiang Mai City area hotel by an English-speaking driver and guide. Your first activity will be the Morning alms giving to monks.
• Wat Phra That Doi Suthep - Next, visit Wat Phra That Doi Suthep, Chiang Mai’s most significant and visible landmark. Legend has it that holy relics were found during the reign of King Kuena (1355-1385).
• Wat Chedi Luang Varavihara - Wat Chedi Luang is a historic Buddhist temple in the heart of Chiang Mai. At its height, the chedi was 60 meters wide at the base and 80 meters tall. It once housed the Emerald Buddha, Thailand’s most revered religious relic.
• Wat Sri Suphan - Wat Sri Suphan, one of Chiang Mai’s oldest temples, was originally built between 1495 and 1515. It has been destroyed and rebuilt multiple times over the centuries. The complex still contains boundary stones from the original structure and a stone tablet over 500 years old inscribed in Faak Khaam, a language predating the Lanna. The Silver Temple is now the main shrine. Afterward, visit Warorot Market (Kad Luang), a popular shopping spot for locals. Here, you can find a wide variety of goods, often at better prices and quality than other markets. Items include clothing, shoes, cosmetics, jewelry, lacquerware, silks, hemp, handicrafts, electronics, sunglasses, watches, and souvenirs.
• Chiang Mai City Arts and Cultural Centre - Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant at your own expense before heading to the Chiang Mai City Arts and Cultural Centre (closed on Mondays). This museum offers insights into Thailand’s rich cultural heritage and vibrant art scene. Upon arrival, you will be greeted by locals in traditional attire and shown a short film about Chiang Mai’s history. After the film, explore the museum at your own pace, learning about the region’s history, the royal family, the war with the Burmese, and exhibitions on Buddhism and cultural beliefs.
At around 2:00 pm, you will return to your hotel in the Chiang Mai City area.

Love the fact that the tour was... -
Love the fact that the tour was private and we can modify the activities a little bit and not worry about other peoples plan. Our tour guide was a monk before and he really answer the questions about budhaism in such a loving mindful way that it helped me to understand and respect the monk lifestyle better. because I asked him to pick me up at 5:45 am we got to do a lot that day that I asked him to call off some other temples that were in the agenda. I wish I would have more space in my suitcase to buy more things at the local market to bring back home.
