June 2024 tubing and waterfall slide - We had a great time! Got really up close to elephants and water buffalo when floating down the river, which was amazing. Well organised, helpful, picked us up from Chiang Mai (1.5hrs each way), provided a great lunch and thoughtful snacks. Showers and towels (and accomodation if you need it!). Short walk to the waterfall slide. Highly recommend the trip through his website!

The perfect tubing experience! - Bang was a wonderful host! While tubing we got to see elephants up close, and somehow Bang timed the trip perfectly to see the water buffalo crossing. They were coming right at us, but were slow and gentle. Lastly, the waterfall slide was a natural slide in the rock leading to a sandy pool. It was the perfect ending! Join the tubing expedition - - you'll make great memories!

Amazing! - We had a wonderful experience with Bang. He picked us up at the hotel and guided us the whole tour. He is interesting and fun to talk to. The tubing experience was lovely, with elephants and water buffalos along the way. The water slide was great fun. The only comment from our side, and this is not the tour’s responsibility, is how little culture there appears to be regarding environmental care. The amount of rubish we saw along the way is just sad, and it makes the whole experience just a little worse. We also saw burnt jungle which is hard to accept. This jungle should have been full of wildlife but we saw no animals or practically birds. Thai people, in general, appear not to be much aware of taking care of their amazing resource.

Hidden Gem! - Hidden Gem! We signed onto this tour after picking up a leaflet in a tourist office (very unlike us). Bang picked us up from our hotel and was friendly and chatty throughout. The group size was small (only 4) which was really nice and intimate. He spoke about his village and added lots of colour. We had some refreshments on arrival at his home/tour site. There, we used the free lockers to stash our change of clothes before taking the short truck ride to the river. The tubing in the river was great fun! The water is quite low as we're approaching the end of the dry season, but it was still high enough to ride easily. We stopped near Elephant Nature Park because Bang knew the water buffalo were due to cross the river, and after 2 minutes they began crossing - so cool to see! There must have been around 100. We could also see the elephants on both sides of the river by the waterside. From there, it was another 20 minutes to the exit point where a truck picked us up and took us back to the start point. From there, we went to explore a nearby waterfall - small but definitely worth the walk and fun to slip into. After the 5 minute walk back to camp, there were some drinks/snacks waiting for us (fresh Lychee & watermelon). The shower facilities are new, really clean with towels provided. Then we were transferred back to Chiang Mai. The experience was superb! Excellent value for money, and I believe a hidden gem in the countryside - certainly worth taking a day in your Chiang Mai itinerary!

Our tubing and waterfall... - Our tubing and waterfall experience was amazing! The hosts were some of the nicest people I’ve ever met, they stopped to feed us, gave us fruit and snack and free water also. Our guide jack was very sweet, sang and danced with us to our music, and showed us all the sights and wonders of his home village. We saw elephants and water buffalo, and at the waterfall we got to go down a fun natural slide into the water! After you are done you get a nice hot shower as well. Our driver was also very nice and we had a lot of time to chat with them. They shared the culture of their home with us and for that we are forever grateful. Definitely would recommend this experience to anyone else that may visit this area!

Brilliant experience tubing past elephant sanctuaries - We had a great time on the tubing and waterfall tour. Bang was helpful and friendly, he was able to tell us loads of information about the local area. We saw a herd of water buffalo crossing the river, and plenty of elephants as we floated by the Elephant Nature Park. We wanted to see elephants but it was important to us to do so in an ethical way, so this tour was just perfect for us! Would really recommend to anyone looking to do the same and/or have an extremely chill and enjoyable day out in Chiang Mai!

Good fun day out with family! - Fun day with family lazing down the river, we saw elephants and water buffalo crossing the river. We enjoyed a cold beer and listened to music, the guides were knowledgable and good fun throughout. We also visited a waterfall and had fun sliding down the mini fall. I’d even recommend staying here, next time we’re in Chiang Mai we hope to. Family of 4 17 & 14 year olds

Best experience, highly recommend!! - The experience was amazing! We got to interact with a baby elephant crossing the river which was so wonderful. The river was a bit shallow at times but our guide Bang was so great at getting us all through. One of my favourite experiences on our trip!!

Great relaxing float down the Mae Taeng river - Thoroughly enjoyed this half-day excursion which started with a very short hike to waterfall which you can slide down. Next was quick drive down to the river bed to hop into the floats which are linked together. Definitely appreciated the beverage cooler (with beer for purchase!!) brought on board. Water levels were low but moved at a good pace. Was able to see elephants and the water buffalo crossing which was awesome. Felt very Jurassic Park while passing through the Elephant Nature park while in the river. Highly recommend this tour!
