Outstanding - Top of our list to see in Chicago was the Art Institute…. our expectations were wildly exceeded. Of course the art and gallery presentation was fabulous, but the curated tour by our guide, Heath, was what took this experience from wonderful up to outstanding.
I had a list of 10 artists whose work I hoped to see. Heath factored my list into his planned tour and all were seen. He lead us through most exhibits, focusing on a few key pieces as he built a chronology of art history.
Heath is very knowledgeable, very passionate and very entertaining. Not only did we learn a lot we had fun.

Fascinating perspective - Heath has a fascinating and novel perspective as a former art dealer he gave us a whirlwind tour of 500 years of art and the influences driving developments

Interesting and fun - We had an excellent time with Bernie on our tour. We aren’t huge art enthusiasts but he made the tour interesting, accessible and informative. It was a lot of fun and I would highly recommend Chicago Museum Tours.

Chicago Art Museum Tour is not to be missed - We are museum junkies and the museum visit was the highlight of our visit to Chicago. It was easily the best museum tour we have ever taken. If you plan to visit the museum on your own, prepare to get lost and confused with the multiple floors and levels. If you’re not careful you may even overlook some famous masterpieces. Our tour guide Brian Gallagher was EXCELLENT. He did not end the tour until we saw all the highlights.

A lovely visit with lovely guides. - I took students and faculty to view Fashion and Costume-related art at AIC. We had the most wonderful experience planning our visit via communication with Colm and enjoyed touring with Bernie and Joe. These three gentleman were polite and personable, and so much fun to talk to. We learned a TON on our tours of AIC, and the guides were so knowledgable that they could offer us additional fun facts on the fly based on our interests. We felt like we got a ton of bang for our buck in both educational and fun terms! These guides must be the cream of the crop and we felt so lucky to have spent some of our Saturday with them.
Would totally recommend!

A morning to remember - Colm was amazing, this is obviously his passion and it came across throughout the tour. He had so much to tell me, his descriptions of the artwork told a story, linking them to history and Chicago in particular, with stories of which artists influenced/taught who. 2.5 hrs of the history of artworks that flew by so quickly, and it was a tour to suit all levels of interest. Thank you Colm for a memorable morning.
