One of the best African American museums. - The museum was even more than I expected. I recommend this tour to anyone who cares about American history. I learned a lot about South Carolina and VIPs who were born there.

So much useful info. I recommend Black families too! - Steve is a local and knew things I'd miss out on with my other scheduled tours. He's passionate about Chicago and had many photo opportunities. He made sure everyone had a good experience. I travel solo and he offered to take pictures for me whenever I needed. I'd recommend this trip and hopefully Steve will be your tour guide.

Enjoyed my Tour of Chicago - The tour exceeded my expectations. The tour guide was very perfessional & knowledgeable about all Sides of Chicago. I was impressed by the way he shared statics and stories that lead into the next stop. When I visit a new place I not only want to be exposed to the popular tourist attractions but also be exposed to the local community. The thing that enjoyed the most is that I didn't feel like a tourist. Thanks Steve. I will definitely reach out the next time I visit Chi Town.

Excellent tour! - The entire tour was a great experience. There's none like it. I'm sure glad I had the opportunity to visit all those landmarks in one setting instead of piecemealing it on my own. The guide did an excellent JOB!

Must go! - This was a wonderful experience! The tour guide was a 70 year old gentleman that has lived in the city his entire life. We even visited a museum and the entrance is included! He was lively and hilarious!!! I highly recommend this tour.

Knowledgeable FACTS!! - I was unable to upload my photos; however, I would like to add them at a later date. The tour was very interesting and informative; however, the tour guide was a little impatient....as a photographer, while I'm taking photos, I didn't always hear or see what he was pointing to and when I asked, he had an attitude. Also while touring, he needs to learn to say whether the bldg was on the left or the right, "not over there". He was helpful in trying to take your photo.....Also while talking, we could not alway hear in the back, He probably needed a mic. We had some very interesting sights.

Terrible Tour - An initial phone call with the tour guide, Steve, ended by him abruptly hanging up the phone. The tour vehicle was a minivan with very limited visibility. Steve asked us to give up our seats in the minivan to allow other guests to sit in our seats but we refused. Steve abandoned the tour on 2 occasions. I called Steve to find out his whereabouts on one of the occasions. We were only in the DuSable museum for 30 minutes. At least an hour would have been ideal. The tour company advertises a visit to the Obamas' house but Steve announced the end of the tour before taking us there. I had to remind him, only to see a sign in front of the house stating that people were not authorized by vehicle or foot, or we could face prosecution. Steve referred to the location of the Obama Presidential Center as a "hole in the ground." It wasn't until we'd passed it and saw the Obamas' picture on the fence, that we realized what is was. Steve repeatedly referred to the Obamas as "The Smoochers" when taking us to the site of their first date. Again, we did not understand the reference until we saw the plaque with the Obamas' picture. I found his references to the Obamas disrespectful and lacked history or context. Steve put us all in danger by taking us to, as he described, the worst and saddest block in Chicago, the O block. He said if the vehicle were to break down, we would remain in the vehicle with the doors locked and call for help. No one asked to visit the O block and Steve took us there without warning despite us repeatedly asking, "What is O block?" We should have spent this time in the museum. Steve dangerously drove us back downtown at 78 mph while pointing out high-rise condos and drifting into the next lane. This tour does not need to be 4 hours and it is not worth $125. It is disappointing that this is the only company who offers a Black history tour. With the wealth of Black history in Chicago, I am disappointed and will not recommend this tour to others.
