Chicago was once known as the “Candy Capital of the World,” and chocolate has been a sumptuous part of the city’s culinary heritage, predating even deep-dish pizza and Italian beef. Milton Hershey learned the art of chocolate-making in Chicago at the 1893 World’s Fair. Many of the world’s favorite chocolate treats, such as Tootsie Rolls, Baby Ruth, Butterfinger, Snickers, 3 Musketeers, and Milky Way, were either created or are produced here.
The tour/scavenger hunt features 8 delightful stops in the Loop and River North areas. Simply read the clues and follow the directions to solve the puzzles. Hints are available if assistance is needed.
