Come hungry - Jeff our guide was amazing. He made our tour!! What a knowledgeable and passionate about Chicago man. The food was wonderful, the commentary and guidance by Jeff was something we still chat about and his ability to include all ages made our 14 year old niece feel she was learning and able to answer his questions confidently. Jeff you’re an asset and we loved learning through you.

Fran is amazing! - Fran was such an excellent host. She shared great local knowledge about the places we visited and passed along our way. The temps were chilly, but she found ways to keep us warmed up as we moved.

Immersive Chicago Experience, Food You Won’t Forget! - We try to do a food tour in every major city we visit, and Bobby’s walking food tour took the cake! Our guide, Jeff (Chicago Gandalf 😂) was incredibly amiable, knowledgeable, and made the whole experience feel like a group of friends enjoying excellent food while gaining insight into the history and architecture of Chicago. He was a wealth of knowledge, but he was definitely sensitive to the vibe of our group and didn’t barrage us with information that we didn’t show interest in. It was great to have a guide who was flexible and socially aware. There were also a few families on our tour and it inspired us to bring our kids next time - it truly was the highlight of our trip. Thanks, CG!! You made our foodie New Year!

Amazing tour with guide Jeff - This was the perfect way to start our Chicago vacation! Our tour guide Jeff made sure everything was on point. It was obvious that a lot of thought went into each stop that we made. They made sure that everyone's needs were taken care of and everyone had an enjoyable time. If you're considering a food tour, choose this one it was full of history, fun and of course great food!

Tasty, informative, and entertaining! - Thank you Jeff for a tasty and informative walking food tour. The food was excellent and represented Chicago well. In between restaurant stops, we covered a lot of ground and learned a great deal about the history of Chicago from Jeff, who was both knowledgeable and entertaining. The pace was perfect- there was enough time between stops that we were ready to eat again. This was the perfect tour for families like ours with teenage/young adult kids. I highly recommend!

A filling tour of the Second City with Jeff and Bobby’s Bike Hike - We took this tour during a day trip to Chicago for my birthday the day after Christmas, and our decision to not eat before the tour was a wise choice, because this tour will not leave their guests hungry . We met our tour guide, the one and only Jeff , a.k.a Chicago Gandalf, at the Lou Malnati’s Pizzeria at the equally legendary Wrigley Building, and our tour day started hot and never gets dull from there. Deep Dish Pizza, Garret’s Popcorn, Italian Beef, A true dragged through the garden Chicago Hot Dog, the Italian Beef sandwich , and the final treat of the monumental Palmer House brownies were all grand choices for our food tastings, and each of these food items , aside from the Italian Beef, were full size portions. Jeff’s guidance and vast knowledge of these Chicago foods and their , as well as the city’s history were top notch and his background as an educator fits very well with his style as a tour guide. This tour is totally recommended for those interested in learning more about Chicago foods and a bit of the city’s history as well. The walking pace is not a sprint , but not sloth slow either. A great experience overall , and it’s a tour that I absolutely would love to do again in the future.

Food was pretty good -... - Food was pretty good - Chicago classics from decent vendors. The tour was well executed and informative -covered architecture, cultural, and historical info about Chicago. Our guide was knowledgeable and set a friendly group environment. She also was good at adjusting the groups location due to the weather (it was rainy). Would recommend.
