Great Magnificent Mile tour! - We had wanted to do a walking tour through the architecture center, and they booked up quicker than we expected. The Magnificent Mile tour was not our first pick but spots were available. The tour ended up being great and exceeded expectations. Shirlee was our guide and was full of enthusiasm and love for the city. Shirlee pointed out hidden features I'd never noticed before, even though I've lived in Chicago for years. We didn't actually walk that far, but still learned a lot. We're looking forward to trying another tour. One tip - if you have smaller ears, you may want to bring a pair of wired earbuds. The ones they use are quite large and were uncomfortable for me as a petite woman.

Good tour - We toured Michigan Avanue north of the River. Shirlee, our guide, was knowledgeable and we learned a lot, even though we've lived in Chicago (Evanston) a long time. The headphones were helpful to hear over the traffic.

Excellent in depth tour of Mag Mile! - As always the CAC didn’t disappoint! This tour gave an in depth look at many of the buildings on the Magnificent Mile. I learned many new things about buildings I’ve walked by several times. I especially loved the walk through time with both the historical significance of this area of Chicago and more recent additions. Our tour guide Sandy was excellent! She was engaging and knowledgeable throughout the tour! She made an effort to briefly get to know the people in our group which made me feel more connected and comfortable asking questions! Well worth the money and a great tour from CAC!

The guide never showed up! - I should have known that there was a problem with this provider since there was zero communication before the tour, unlike any other tour we have done. I found out the details of the tour only through Tripadvisor. When we showed up at the Chicago Architecture Institute Building as instructed, I was told that the tour was canceled. We never got any notice of the cancellation. We were also told that this was a common problem with this tour operation. Tripadvisor needs to take them off the site. If I don't get a refund immediately I will make a claim of fraud with my credit card company.
