- Come prepared to get a little wet and be out in the sun.
- We recommend lightweight and synthetic clothing.
- You can bring cameras, but they do have the possibility of getting wet, so bring a waterproof bag.

Cancellation Policy
If you need to cancel, you must do so at least 48 hours in advance of your tour or rental time in order to be refunded. Cancellations within 48 hours prior to your scheduled time can be rescheduled for a $25/person rescheduling fee but will not be refunded.

So while the original plan was to paddleboard here, I didn't get to Montrose beach until half hour before Kayak Chicago closed. I know they list it as

Standup Paddle Boarding with Kayak Chicago was awesome. It was easy to make a reservation online, and not at all an issue for me to be over 15 mins late to it. The staff was super friendly, knowledgeable, and focused on safety - important as I was with my 8yo son who isn't a strong swimmer, and this was our first time doing this activity. My only point of feedback is I wasn't entirely sure what to do when I was done; there wasn't anyone helping me get the paddle board onto the sand, and I didn't receive instructions on what to do with my paddle and our life jackets when we returned to the rental shop.

We were fully outfitted with good boards and life jackets. The person working gave us tips about the wind direction and boundaries. Montrose was a pleasure to paddle with expansive views and a good distance to travel. Loved chilling near the bird sanctuary and visiting the dogs at the beach on the opposite end. It's a really good value.
