Dark history in downtown Chicago - A wonderful gem in the heart of Chicago, especially if you’re not afraid of history of pain and the dark things people do.

Worth every penny! - Absolutely amazing. Not too long, but worth every penny. Gift shop is badass too! The information was accurate and the exhibits were perfect for both horror and history fans.

Another one off the bucket list - A great study of the depravity in humans. Some of the devices and their use in the name of civil correctness was gut wrenching.

Awesome interactive museum! - One of the best museums I've seen. The interactive experience made it so much fun. As a medievalist I loved the accuracy and attention to detail. Great date activity! 🤘

Torture in downtown chicago - The people I was with were scared at first, but I loved it and thought the the depictions of victims were life like and I even confused them for real sometimes

Disturbing/esucational - We enjoyed our visit. Found it very interesting, but also disturbing. Who knew humans were such torturous psychopaths. So many ways to hurt/maim/kill other people. Recommended.

Small and Short, and yet a Worthy Visit - Upon the visit to the torturous past, With surly teens who seldom found delight, In that dark museum, their eyes were cast, And both proclaimed it best, a rare sight. The atmosphere was thick with ancient dread, Though truth of artifacts was left unknown, Yet waxen forms and tools of pain widespread, With diabolic craft, the scene was shown. Self-guided tour, a perfect pace it gave, Each whispered word, the tale of anguish told, In two short hours, through all the dark enclave, The gruesome history did then unfold. Though small in scale, its charm was clear and bright, A mini dungeon's tale in hours' light.

Needs more information - It was interesting but there were a lot of places where I wished I had more information. Many of the devices don’t explain how they were used and it wasn’t clear. Descriptions would have been very helpful.
