The most amazing views over Chicago.. must not be missed on your visit to the Windy City - This has been top of my travel plans for many years.. and boy it did not disappoint..buy your ticket on line ( direct ) and not through the many agents on-line.. try going mid-morning, there is plenty of allotted time spaces and usually any bad weather coming off the lake has blown through.. a great story of how the tower was constructed along with a little history of Chicago before you head up to the viewing platform..once the lift doors open the views just hit you.. take time to breath in all the different aspects of the glorious Chicago skyline and most definitely step out on to the glass box.. a little bit scary at first, but what a experience… In conclusion: a must do experience when visiting Chicago and great value for money..

Great Spot - It was very informative about the history of Chicago if you’re into that and once you get to the highest floor, the views were amazing! Definitely would recommend to others

Great night views - We purchases our tickets ahead of time...just in case but there seemed to be plenty of spots open when we arrived at our designated time. The museum they wind you through is very interesting and we enjoyed the interactivity of it. We did have a later time and the food court locations were closed already so be mindful if that is where you are planning on eating. You recieve a QR code at the beginning that they use for your "official" photo. You get a single group photo but can requeue and take your own - which we did. It took me a few times to make it on the ledge - back in if you are nervous. Back in and keep your eyes straight ahea. It was fantastic at night.

A special experience in the Windy City - The Skydeck at Willis Tower is truly a highlight and definitely worth a visit! Although ticket prices are quite high at $36 for normal admission and $55 for the so-called "Expedited Skydeck Ticket", the outlook more than makes up for it. The more expensive ticket is especially worthwhile if there is a lot going on, as you can get ahead of the line here – in winter, when Chicago is a little quieter, the cheaper "Adult Timed Ticket" is quite enough. Important tips for planning: In summer: Be sure to reserve your tickets online in advance! Spontaneous visits could be difficult if the desired time is fully booked. Find a ticket office: The counter is a bit hidden – go to the ground floor, look for the large hall with restaurants and go down one floor. There are also toilets and drinking fountains. Once at the top, you can enjoy a breathtaking view: East: Lake Michigan stretches to the horizon. South: The Chicago skyline overlooking the planetarium. Northwest: With clear visibility, you can even see O’Hare Airport. Apart from the photos, you can also just take time to enjoy the view in peace. Schedule about 1 hour or more to fully enjoy the experience. There is also the possibility to refill water bottles at drinking stations. Conclusion: Despite small organisational challenges – such as finding the ticket counter or limited photo time – the Skydeck is an unforgettable experience. For the best views, it is worth visiting in clear weather, and those planning a bit ahead will not be disappointed.

Good experience overall.... - Good experience overall. It wasn’t too crowded and the picture lines moved pretty fast. A coffee shop there would be nice.

my experience, felt rushed - Each person is allotted a couple of minutes to take a picture rather than utilizing their personal phone or purchasing a photo from the representative who accompanied myself and my nephew. Unfortunately, the representative displayed a rather standoffish demeanor, which was particularly disappointing considering the premium price paid for the experience, which merely entailed standing on a window ledge for two minutes. Regrettably, the picture taken by the representative was subpar, as were the purchased photos. In light of this experience, I would not recommend it, especially given the exorbitant price, which did not align with the value received.
