Great Experience! - We had an incredible time with Rogelio and his crew. Didn’t anticipate being on the road for as long as we did but other than that, pretty pleasant experience. The lunch was served later than expected but based on my understanding, this was a scheduling issue with the company. The crew were extremely warm and friendly and the tour guide certainly understood the assignment 👌. Will definitely be back 🥲

A must do - This was the highlight of my trip to tulum! Hector is the best tour guide he has so much knowledge and passion for the mayan culture. chichen itza is a must see and cooling off in the beautiful cenotes after was the perfect end to the trip! Everything ran smoothly, the food at the buffet was delicious. I am so happy we chose to do this trip. 10/10 would recommend to anyone.

Packed programme, long time, but definitely worth it. - Packed programme, long time, but definitely worth it. We have had a disciplined group, so the time was as promised. The programme was packed, including time in Valladolid, worth not only to see the cathedral and central square but also a block or two away. In Chichen Itza the time was divided 50/50 into guided tour and free time to walk on you own. For Chichen Itza they separated Spanish and English speaking participants for more effective usage of time; otherwise, in the bus, Spanish and English commentaries were alternating. Note that Chichen Itza requires a permit for “professional photo equipment” and they qualified my telephoto zoom (150-600) as such :-(, the guide helped to store it in a locker. We liked very much the choice of cenotes (Ik-Kil and Hubiku), both very picturesque. Lunch was good, with self-service, so you cannot leave hungry… Good idea to have lunch by cenota, during the same stop. Remember about additional cost: drinks for lunch (as per or March 2023: ca 40 pesos per bottle), tax – 15 USD per person (or equivalent in pesos), life jacket for second cenota (Hubiku) – but the last one is optional, means if you are a good swimmer it was allowed to go without (but risk is yours and cenota is really deep, so be very careful with no taking a life jacket). If you start from Cancun, it is quite early (6:20 pickup), so in our hotel there was no breakfast available, but in the bus they distribute packets with sandwich, apple and small juice. There was water available, and even cold beer after hot Chichen Itza… If you are not afraid of some 16-17 hours trip (from pickup from your hotel in Cancun to return), or 14-15 hours in case of Playa del Carmen, and interested in seeing as much as possible around, I recommend this tour. Hoping that you will have as disciplined group as ours :-)

Way too many stops - The bus made way too many stops
I knew we were going to stop at many places in Cancun but the bus made many stops on the way to Playa del Carmen and many other towns. A trip that should take 2-1/2 hours each way took more than 5 hours each way. The sites were great, the transportation was terrible

Thoroughly exhausting. - Pros:
-The locations were pretty cool.
-We saw everything we wanted to see.
-The buffet dinner was surprisingly tasty.
-Our second bus was very comfortable and had great AC.
Cons:
-Pickup from downtown cancun was 6:30 am. Drop-off was 11:30 pm. Groups that were from Riviera Maya got picked up last and dropped off first. There were some extenuating circumstances, but regardless, it was a very long day with our pickup point.
-Pickup was not very well organized.
-Tour guide spoken extensively in Spanish and gave the abbreviated English version. It was very co-mingled, because he would switch back and forth with no break. For every minute of spanish, there was about 10 seconds of English. In order to get the whole story, you had to pay attention the entire time, which ended up being (surprisingly) exhausting.
-The tour was not comfortably organized, we were given a very un-appetizing bagged lunch but not told the full timeline of the trip to know when to eat it, the Valladolid visit felt quite rushed (30 mins), the first cenote (1 hour) got you wet then you went to Chichen Itza (2 hours). We wrapped up with another Cenote (1.5hrs) and dinner (which was called lunch, but happened at 5 pm). By the time we had finished eating dinner, all the other activities at the last center were closed (tequila tasting et al.) leaving us with 45 mins before we could get back on the bus.

Not what was promised - UPDATE
Original: This tour advertises, that you will spend 1 hour in Valladolid, which differs from other companies where only 30 minutes are given. This was one of the reasons why I chose this tour because 30 minutes to see the town properly is not enough. But when we arrived we were given only 30 minutes. We asked one of our guides about it, but he said that 30 minutes were promised. But actually not as you can see in the picture I posted below. Also one of our guides was not really friendly and basically described things only in Spanish (3/4 of our bus were spanish speaking people). His one English word at the end of long Spanish sentence was not enough to get the point. When we asked him what he had said before he just replied "nothing" and ignored us for the rest of the trip. On the other hand the second older guide was great and friendly, so apparently, it is something which can be done. Apart from that it was ok and as described, but that false advertisement about time in Valladolid really annoyed us. I wanted to see the town properly, but I couldn't because of their lie.
UPDATE: Dear Omar, there was 1 hour in the description here on tripAdvisor. I appreciate that you already replaced it with 30 minutes so other customers won't expect something which will not happen. I also didn't book via booking.com, but tripAdvisor, but I would say it is your responsibility to ensure that selling sites are displaying correct information anyway. I bet no site offers your tours without your knowledge and the information you give them, so you should also check if the information is posted correctly.

DO NOT GO ON THIS TOUR TERRIBLE - This was a terrible tour. I signed up for a 12 hour ENGLISH speaking tour. When I got on the bus, there where about 20 people and the tour guide asked if there were any English only speaking people so I raised my hand and he asked me why I didn't speak English. I thought this was a bit unusual and made me quite uncomfortable as I was traveling alone. He then gave a 10-15 minute lecture in Spanish with two or three English sentences interjected & made no sense. I walked up to him privately and asked if he was going to repeat the information in English and he said to me "the bathroom is in the back of the bus for #1 only and the bus # is 588, don't forget it". I went back to my seat and reached out to Viator via What's App who contacted the tour company who must have called Hector, the tour guide who them pulled out his microphone and started to speak English asking if everyone could understand his English because it was "reported that he does not speak English". This passive aggressive retaliatory behavior continued throughout the day. About 40 more people got on the bus at additional stops, some of whom were frustrated like me. There was back and forth arguing between others on the bus with Hector on the microphone thretening to throw people off the bus. We had driven 5 hours from my hotel and I had no idea where I was and I was alone messaging Viator all day about the things he was saying and doing every step of the way. This man, Hector, was so unprofessional, passive aggressive, manipulative & dangerous. I did not receive any safety instructions at each stop. I sat quietly in shock & disbelief. I was afraid to hire a taxi on my own 5 hours from my hotel in the middle of Mexico and I had no idea where I was. The 12 hour tour ended up being 15 1/2 hours and we did not even make is to the last stop of Valladolid. How can a tour company so poorly miscalculate the length of a trip by 3 1/2 hours and not even make it to all the stops. They filled every seat on the bus it was miserably hot and the poor folks in the back of the bus complained and Hector threatened to throw them off the bus. When I reported it to Viator Hector came on the mic shortly after and said IN ENGLISH his "boss" called him and asked him how the day was going and he told him "great" (again, that passive aggressive behavior). The name of the tour company is Stap Travel & Tours. Viator advised me that Stap Travel & Tours refused to issue me a refund & I advised Viator that I booked with Viator & they are responsible. They have issued a refund $30.94 of the $119.00 I spent on the tour which is unacceptable. I have a written agreement for a 12 hour tour (ended up 15 1/2), ENGLISH SPEAKING (15 hours is a long time to listen to blah blah blah blah blah) tour that included Valladolid which we never made it to. Do the right thing Viator. BTW, did I mention the 1/2 dozen bologna & cheese sandwiches served on Wonderbread that fell on the floor out of the plastic bag they were stored in that were picked up off of the bus floor by Hector's helper Manuel and put back into the bag with the rest of the sandwiches and distributed to the passengers. The sandwiches were in individual bags but the whole experience just disgusted me. Hopefully Viator has other tour company's to choose from because the places we went were terrific even though I had to figure out how to navigate the areas on my own I did. I have traveled all around the world & I have never been to a foreign country & treated so disrespectfully by a tour guide which unfortunately reflects poorly on Viator.

Absolutely not what is advertised, terrible tour - I went on this tour yesterday and it was NOT what was advertised at all, they did a terrible job on every front. Firstly, we were scheduled for pick up between 8:00 and 8:10am, which was important to me because I did not want to get to Chichen Itza at the hottest point of the day. The didn't come to pick us up until 8:50am and even when they did arrive I didn't get a phone call or text, I just happened to look outside my window and check. No apology or explanation for being nearly an hour late. Then when we go to the "office" which is just a tourist shop with crappy overpriced items we each waited in line to pay which took forever. They can't have one more person (or more!) who was sitting around doing nothing taking payments? At least the cash ones if they only have one cc machine. Then after about 40 minutes I asked them what was the hold up and when we were gonna get going. The tour guide was really rude to me and said he didn't know how long it would be. I told him now it was 2 hours past the time we were supposed to leave and did he have an estimate to how. much longer we'd be waiting and he said 20 minutes. It was again almost another 40! No one cared and we were all sweating in the heat. Finally we go to the bus, and shortly after the "tour guide" told us we'd be having a visitor and we picked up a guy who came onboard only to present a sales pitch. So 3 hours in already and received nothing but a sales pitch. I purchased the most expensive tour (the one I am writing this review on) and since lunch was included and I am not a breakfast person I figured I'd wait, not knowing we would not finally arrive to the buffet until 3pm!!! Even if we weren't late, if your tour includes lunch, serve it around noon, not 3PM! We were all starving.
After the sales pitch we finally got to Chichen Itza and told we had 1 hour only! The "tour guide" talked to us about the main pyramid for 5 minutes, took us across from it to another area for another 5 minutes, his information was almost nothing and not coherent, he didn't ask if we had any questions, and then told us we now had "free time" until we had to meet back at the van. So I learned nothing about this beautiful site I had paid a lot of money to see, and then had very little time to try to stumble through it on my own. His name was Alain. It was so disappointing. I could have given a better tour from what I learned from a youtube video before I went. The guy did not care at all, and spent more time during the day reminding us "tips are not included" than he did giving any history.
Next we went to the first cenote, where we had less than an hour to wait in line for a locker, change, take a shower which is required, and swim. It was a huge rush. Then we went to the next cenote where we finally ate, and the workers there were rushing us as we were the last group of the day. So the food was not hot, and probably not even sanitary to eat since it had been outside all day and now it was 3pm. Again we barely had time to swim or enjoy the cenote. There was nothing relaxing about it. Finally we went to Valladolid, where we were promised we would be able to see the church there - this was something that sold me on the expense, I really wanted to visit this church. When we arrived we were told we only had 30 minutes before meeting back at the van. I basically ran to the church, except: IT WAS CLOSED! And not because of some random unforeseen thing, but because it was always closed at that time, the tour people could not do their jobs correctly and take us to a place at the time it was opened! Again no apology or explanation. Finally I said something and the guide said "Yeah this happens every time". They don't care that they are in no way delivering what they advertise and what was paid for, and again with the "remember tips are not included" on the bus back. What was advertised was not promised and I am very disappointed! I will not be booking with "easy tours" again and I don't recommend you do either unless this is the experience you want.
