Great experience, comfortable trip - Tour guides were entertaining and very knowledgeable. Trip to Cenote was really short — hope it was longer. Ride was comfortable.

A fun tour with lots of beautiful locations and information - This tour is fantastic! You visit so many fantastic locations and get to eat a ton of great food. It was absolutely amazing to do the cenote swim after Chichen Itza to cool off.
Carlos is such an energetic, knowledgeable and insightful guide. Luis was so attentive, and really went out of the way to make sure that we were doing okay and that we were having a great time. The ride was nice and smooth, plus the bus was pretty comfortable. If you want to see Chichen Itza, this is the tour for you.

Must tour with this group - It was an amazing day touring Chichén Itza. Our driver Freddie picked us up at our hotel in a nice air conditioned bus and somehow navigated traffic quite easily. It’s a long drive, but the time passed quickly with history, stories and visuals to go with them. There was even a historian on board to answer questions. Our guides were engaging and enthusiastic the entire trip. We stopped for a restroom break and shopping before getting to Chichen Itza and once there our guide stopped in a shady spot at each location to tell us what we were looking at and the story behind it. We then had an hour to explore on our own. Then we stopped for lunch and experienced delicious, authentic Mexican food along with entertainment. We stopped at the cenote for a wonderful swim in a scenic location. Final stop was to stretch our legs and a little shopping before heading back. We were tired after a long day and our daughter left her phone on the bus. Not only did they have her phone, they dropped it off at our hotel on their next tour. Amazing guides, people and experience - this is a must do activity and make sure to book with Cancún Passion.

Chichen Itza Tour - Our tour guides Carlos and Jair were amazing! Carlos is a very knowledgeable guide and knows a lot about the history of Chichen Itza. Jair is a very helpful and kind tour conductor as well and took very well care of all of us in the group. I enjoyed my whole tour very much and will definitely prefer having Carlos and Jair should I ever come back for another tour.

An unforgettable day tour!! - This was one of the very best tour experiences we have ever had from 7am to 7pm. Our guide Carlos Gonzales and his team were very organized and professional. We were impressed by his knowledge of the Mayans and astrological science behind the wonder of this site. Muchos gracias!!

Chichen Itza: unmissable Mayan site - Chichen Itza is an unmissable and magnificent site to discover! our guide Carlos was very good! Both for the information in French, the advice and for the dynamic pace which allowed us to limit the crowds despite the high season!! The same goes for exploring and swimming in the Cenote Selva Maya 😉
We would have liked to have had more independent time at Chichen Itza but the timing was tight and an accident on the road delayed us…
Tips:
- Favor an early morning visit
- It's hot so water and hat/cap are strongly recommended
What we liked less about this site is the abundance of peddlers within the site which, in our opinion, distorts the place 🤷🏻♀️

Worth doing as it is a wonder of the world but keep your expectations low - Pick up for this tour was 20 minutes late plus it took forever just to get to Cancun as the van had so many stops at other resorts on the way. It added 1.5 hours onto our trip to and from to catching a larger bus in Cancun.
The drive was fine, old bus but comfortable seats. We did not buy the deluxe pkg so had to bring our own water and snacks. Lots of staff, friendly, and did a good job. Long drive.
Force you to stop at a crappy souvenir store, just alot of tourist junk. We did not buy anything.
Chicen Itza was fine, very hot , so glad we brought umbrellas as there was little shade. Not enough time to explore it as we only had an hour and half of that time was used up with tour guide time. We wish the gift shop had not been included so we could have more time at the site as it is vast and it would have been fun to explore more at our own leisure.
The ruins/temples are interesting but when you have been to the acropolis, pyramids, coliseum, etc , they were underwhelming to us.
On the way back from the site, they stop at the same old run down tourist shop for lunch. Food looked gross so I did not eat anything although lunch was included.
Bathrooms in all areas were fairly clean and had their own toilet paper.
Stopped at cenote on way back to Cancun. We had been told when we purchased the tour that tickets ,life jackets, etc costs were all included but when we arrived , we were forced to pay an extra $5 US for the life jacket. When we complained, no refund was given.
We were only given an hour total at this site so it was a rush to go buy tickets, pay for life jackets, change, shower ( mandatory), and line up for lockers and life jackets, walk down and up 90 plus steps on a crowded stairway to get to the water.
The cenote was beautiful, if you can ignore that it is basically like jumping into a toilet bowl considering the high rates of e-coli and bacteria from tourists swimming/peeing in it:).
The water was cool but on a warm day, that was fine. Really really crowded and only able to swim in the water for about 10 minutes because of the lack of time/line ups/crowds. Needed more time.
Saw a giant iguana which was cool. Free tequila tasting was offerred and we quickly tried a couple on the way back to the bus.

Awful service - The places we visited were certainly breathtaking. However, staff’s attitude towards tourists was awful. We booked a “non-premium” tour, and the brochure that an Air Canada representative showed us was saying that they provide a bottle of water. However, they refused to do it. The tour guide, Beto, treated tourists like schoolchildren: spent too much time on saying that we don’t have to buy any souviens from people at Chichen Itza, instead, he advocated to buy stuff from a store where the same souvenirs cost 5-10 times (literally!) more! At Chichen Itza, he did not bother to show any places, instead, he start telling stories that are available in internet. We paid to watch the ruins, not to listen the stories!!! Luckily, we were clever enough to start our own exploration of Chichen Itza early and left the group. Too few time at the place itself, so if you are unlucky enough to book a tour with this company, I strongly recommend to start by your own right away. You won’t get anything useful from the tour guides, they just try to keep you away from the ruins and pyramids (probably they have some deals with the local business or something). On a positive side, the restaurant was decent with pretty good local food! Otherwise, choose any other company but not these shady guys

Chichen Itza and Cenote were fabulous but go with another tour company. Overpriced and chaotic. - First of all I will say that having wanted to go to Chichen Itzá as a Child, I am not upset we went. It was incredible and the guide who took us around was very knowledgable. We had 2 hours in Chichen Itza which was fabulous to get all the instagrammable shots you could ever want.
However…
We were charged $195USD for this tour EACH. NOT the price advertised and we had to pay extra for stuff when there which we had been lead to believe was included.
Pick up went okay but then we were dropped for 45mins at the side of the road with a few others to wait for a bus to take us the rest of the way. When the bus came, our ‚continental‘ breakfast consisted of one warm banana and half a cup of lukewarm coffee we got at 1030. The bus did have traffic but it all felt chaotic and not well managed. Having said I was lactose intolerant, only being given a banana as my breakfast wasn’t great (yes I gave them 4 days notice). When we got on the bus, the guide just joked that I wouldn’t be able to eat. Charming.
At the city stop, it was 15 mins max given. 15 mins to wander around a plaza and get back. Again, it was rushed and we didn’t feel like we got an understanding of the place.
At the cenote, we were given 45 mins to quickly enjoy it, take photos and then go. We were also made to pay $5USD per lifejacket and $5USD to get a locker key. This was not included apparently. It was such a beautiful cenote it was a shame we weren’t able to enjoy it and everything was such a rush. You do need to shower off before you go in. We googled the price of the cenote on the bus and found out to our dismay it is $8USD including lifejackets (Cenote Silva Maya). We felt really taken advantage of.
We went for lunch where we then had loads of time to do very little at a place where they clearly wanted us all to buy stuff. The bus conductor on the way was also trying to get us to buy his own items or goods to the point where we felt we were on the Shopping Channel.
At Chichen Itza we were then lead around and guided around the main part which was fabulous- it is for this guide alone we are giving 1*. His knowledge was great and he made Chichen Itza come alive. Having had other tours with other companies like Xcaret.com, this was chaotic from start to finish and easily the most expensive tour we went on. Bear in mind we eventually got to Chichen Itza at the absolute hottest part of the day and the heat was stifling so definitely take them up on the umbrella. At 4 we were then ready to depart but didn’t leave until 4:30.
They do say they provide drinks but this comes from bottles they pour into glasses. The other tour companies either gave us reusable water bottles or cans.
We also really did not appreciate the fact that they kept asking for more tips along the way and at the end. Whilst I appreciate the traffic was out of their control, the rest was not. If you want to go to Chichen Itza, go to another company. The other couples in our shuttle bus also complained.

Poor guide - Our bus driver and support people were very good. However our guide Filipe was terrible. He rambled on about his own weird theories mixed in with some basic information about Chichén Itzá. We ended up following another guide around to get some better information. He seemed annoyed that I asked about the dates the buildings were constructed and rambled off a few dates in 30 seconds. Strangest guide I have encountered. I had to put in my headphones on the bus so he didn’t drive me crazy on the way home.
