Incredible Tour - Our group went on a tour with Paul and we were amazed by his knowledge of local culture and the ancient history of Chichén Itzá. The tour allowed a great deal of flexibility and Paul catered to our interests. He took us to a beautiful cenote and we spent time at a local town where we had a delicious meal. Very thankful for our experience and we thoroughly enjoyed this tour. I highly recommend Paul to anyone interested in a private tour, he also takes amazing pictures!

Don’t Hesitate To Book, Do It! - Paul was an amazing tour guide for my friends and I when we visited Cancun in July. It was a blast going to spend the day at Chichen Itza and learn a lot of history you won’t get by reading the signs. It’s great having a private tour so we could curate how long we’d like to be and what to do. The food places we stopped at were very good and reasonably priced for us tourists. We had a dietary restriction and he was able to find us a restaurant that had everything everyone could eat. Paul had enough water for everyone to get throughout the day and there was always time to go get something at a shop if we wanted to. This tour was absolutely amazing, I’d recommend it to anyone coming to Mexico.

A fantastic trip to Chichén Itzá and Cenote - We, a family of four, booked a day trip with Paul to Chichen Itza and Cenote, and it was the highlight of our trip to Mexico. From the start, he was exceptionally organized. We were staying in Moon Palace, and he reached out to us the day before with details about what to bring to the trip such as caps and swimsuits to swim in the Cenote. He meticulously confirmed our pickup location to avoid confusion and arriving right on time.
We started early in the morning around 6: 30 am at Paul's suggestion. He understood the importance of starting early to beat the heat and the crowds at the Chichen Itza and secured our tickets in advance through a friend to save time. On reaching Chichen Itza, Paul elaborately explained to us the significance of each monument. He outdid himself when he offered to capture our pictures and even suggested some impressive poses for the photos and candid shots. We even got to dribble the famed rubber ball from the Mayan ball game. Throughout the trip, he shared fascinating insights into the history of the Mayan civilization, weaving in joyful and personal anecdotes that made the experience even more memorable.
For lunch, he took us to a local spot for authentic Mayan cuisine which was an absolute delight. Soon after the lunch, we headed to Oxman Cenote. Here again, Paul was our personal photographer recording those adventurous moments when we jumped into the Cenote and swam together as a family. While we loved visiting the historical sites, what truly stood out was getting to know him. He was warm, professional, and thoughtful from beginning to end. He took the time to get to know us and tailored the experience to match our preferences, offering helpful recommendations for future trips along the way.
It was more than just a tour, it was a personalized, enriching journey led by someone who genuinely cares about making your experience unforgettable.
Thank you Paul for the wonderful trip!!!

Greatest tour guide to ever live - Paul is probably the greatest tour guide, no, greatest person to ever roam the planet, even greater than Jordan, Brady, Messi, anyone. If you're second guessing whether or not to book this tour, do it because you definitely won't regret it. To put it bluntly, Paul is a life saver. Me and Paul had a tour in Afghanistan, and Paul threw himself onto a grenade to save us all and miraculously survived. When I was injured and required a lung transplant, Paul literally ripped out his own lung on the spot and surgically implanted it into my body and I was able to pull through. If Paul had a favorite country, it'd be Nepaul. Thank you Paul! Now, about the tour, it's pretty fun, hot during the summer, and probably will have a lot of people. The cenote's really great though. It was only two days, and it feels like it's been a lifetime with him. BOOK THIS!!

Amazing! - Please book Paul! We had 2 trips out with Paul this one with Chitchen Itsa and Cenote and also a full tour of Cancun (old and new). Both were amazing and made even more special because of Paul and his enthusiasm, knowledge, recommendations and just being a top guy. He also gave us tonnes of info for the rest of our holiday. The free photos and videos are a complete added bonus too! Brilliant!

Simply the Best Tour and Guide to Chichen Itza - TLDR: Let me save you some time. If you’ve gotten this far looking for a tour guide to Chichén Itzá, you should just book Paul now. You will not find a better option in all of Mexico. Honestly, book him for two different tours. You can thank me later.
Full Review:
If you’re like me, you want to go to Chichén Itzá, you’d rather not ride a bus, you prefer a more personal experience, and you want someone who knows what they’re doing. This is the service Paul provides and he is an excellent guide. My family (44m, 44f, 16m, 12m) took his Chichén Itzá tour over spring break and it was a highlight of our trip. (Even my 12-year-old son said it would be worth a trip back to Cancún just to go on another tour with Paul.)
Paul is an old school world traveler. He has lived in and visited cities and countries around the world. He has embraced the wonder that is the Yucatan Peninsula and he enjoys sharing his experience and knowledge. The drive is 2.5 hours one way, yet he makes the trip interesting and entertaining. He was very attentive to our needs and interests, and he wanted to ensure we had a great day. It felt more like spending the day with the friend of a friend, than a guided visit to a museum.
Visiting Chichén Itzá was an experience that will be a life long memory. With the early start, we walked into the grounds just moments after they opened, and were able to experience the highlights of the ruins before the crowds descended (and boy were there crowds). Paul provided excellent insight on the ruins and really helped to bring the history to life. He was able to give details and context you could never get in a group tour. We walked around the ruins for 3+ hours and there wasn’t a dull moment. (As we were leaving, the lines at the turnstiles coming in had to have been 100 people deep, and the buses were backed up waiting for spots to clear in the parking lot. Don’t get here late).
For lunch, Paul suggested a taco place that’s more popular with locals than tourists (La Tía De Kaua). It was amazing. If you like tacos, this is the place for you. There is no menu, just pork or sausage. We got both and ate enough for a small village.
After lunch, we hit up a cenote for some swimming, and it was just what we needed. Even in early April the temps were near 100F and the cool water of the cenote was refreshing. Our boys loved the rope swing, and were disappointed when it was time to leave.
Now we get to how Paul set himself apart from the other guides. Like most tours, we planned to visit and explore Valladolid next. The city looks very much worth a visit, but for several reasons, we just weren’t feeling it that day, and decided to head back towards Cancun.
Paul could have just taken us back to the hotel, finished up early, and I would have considered it a great day. Instead, using what he learned about us, he suggested an alternative place to visit on the way home. At his recommendation, we visited the Shrine to Mary Undoer of Knots. We had not even heard of the shrine before, but it was absolutely perfect. The shrine is gorgeous and deeply moving. In visiting it, Paul gave us a personally meaningful experience above and beyond any of our expectations.
I have had the privilege to travel to many places and I’ve had hundreds of guides, docents, hosts, park rangers, and the like. Paul is simply world class as a guide. He is the definition of professional, and one of the very best I’ve ever worked with. I recommend him without reservation and I would tour with him again in a heartbeat.
Book his tour, you won’t regret it.

Private VW tour Chichen Itza/Valladolid/Cenote with Paul - AMAZING Private Experience!
Our family of 4 (2 daughters 11 and 14) had an incredible day from start to finish. We started early and beat the crowds at Chichén Itzá, which was fantastic. Paul was an excellent guide—fun, engaging, and informative. He made the whole experience enjoyable for our entire family.
One of the nicest touches was that Paul took photos of us throughout the day—beautiful, candid moments we’ll truly cherish forever. It was so thoughtful and allowed us to just enjoy the experience without worrying about capturing every shot.
After exploring, we enjoyed a delicious traditional lunch in a more secluded, authentic spot. The food was amazing and served by warm, genuine people. Our girls especially loved it!
To top it all off, we visited a cenote—such a fun and unforgettable experience for everyone.
Riding in the bug was a blast—smooth and comfortable—and Paul was a very safe, cautious driver.
Truly a memorable day—off the beaten path, we couldn’t have asked for better, we are a globetrotting family and this tour is at the top of our list.
Thank you Paul, we will be back for another adventure very soon
