Unforgettable day - We had a great day trip. First a visit to a Mayan cooperative, a visit to Chichen Itza, in French, then back to the cooperative for an excellent dinner. Stop then to swim in a cenote and end of the day with a short stopover in Valladolid. We were well taken care of by Freddy, our driver, and the two guides, Beto and Israel. We just had to enjoy the day. Big crush for Israel who guided us in French and took the time to share some of the Mayan culture. He took care of us throughout the day. I recommend without hesitation.

A great day at Chichen Itza - We had a wonderful tour with our guide Miguel and Driver Russ. Miguel was very knowledgeable about Chichen Itza, the history and technical details and astronomy. The transport was very comfortable. They tailored the trip to our needs. We topped it off with a wonderful lunch at a local restaurant.

So fun! - Chichen Itza was amazing! It was a VERY hot day, but the tour guides did their best ensuring everyone was hydrated and had access to shade. Lunch was great and they had so many options. The cenote was by far the best way the end the day! So refreshing! Overall would recommend. Note if you’re coming from an area outside of Cancun, you will spend a lot of time on the bus.

Day trip to Chichén Itzá with shopping and Cenote Swim. - Diamond treatment. Miguel, Felipe and Freddy most awesome experience and I’ve traveled to a few places. The tour guide Miguel could be the history teacher you wanted in high school. Felipe has the snacks and beer 😅 service comfort. They had a great time line for each stop throughout the tour. Freddy was an awesome and safe driver. They made a great team. ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Great tour guides and experiences, horrible tourist traps. - We started this trip around 8:30 where we were dropped off in a van and the tour bus was waiting there for us to get on. It was a long drive, and when we got near our “bathroom break” in the town of Chichin Itza, we were given cultural lessons about Mayan society and given an opportunity to get a tradition bark paper painted with you name. I thought this was going to be free minding the $190 USD price per person, but was surprised when we had to pay for it. I shrugged it off and continued relaxing in the comfortable seats in the bus. Our guide told us the bathrooms in Chichin Itza would be very crowded, so we would take a 40 minute “bathroom break” at a. Obvious tourist trap filled with overpriced gimmicks. I was told to get to the bathrooms we had to walk to the back of the building, and throughout the walk we had to go through the whole store. I later realized there was a shortcut to get there without being near gimmicks. When we got to the bathroom, there was a random woman cleaning the men’s room and was flooded by an inch of water. We then got back on the bus to our trip to the ruins. The whole experience at the ruins was spectacular. The guides were very informative, and definitely had many years of experience and knew what they were talking about. They spent an hour of explaining ruins and history, as well and Mayan traditions, such as their versions of soccer. The one downside was that the bathrooms at the ruins were in fact not crowded, had 1 person inside of it, and was in a better condition than the ones at the shady store. I believe this is because the store pays off the company to bring you there to try a lure you in to buying their overpriced gimmicks. Very obvious tourists traps. We then headed back to the shady store to have lunch, this time bringing us through the shortcut. We were told that if we didn’t have the deluxe package, we wouldn’t be served any drinks. I was thirsty and bought a coke, which was $5 USD. The food was ok, and some dancers came out and played some music, which was a highlight. We then headed to the cenote, which I thought would be free because of the large price of the excursion. I was dumbfounded when I learned that I had to pay $5 for the required “life vest” to be able to swim, which was obviously a way to suction more money out of you. The cenote was beautiful, cold, but overall a highlight. We only spent an hour there but it was fun. At the end, we headed to a beautiful colonial Mexican town, which was not a tourist trap at all. Very authentic. The downside is we only spend 20 minutes there. The guides explanation is because “there where to many tour busses and the town put a limit to it” It was a bad explanation. Pretty town though. Overall, the trip was great, amazing guides, but I was overwhelmed with the tourists traps, making the whole trip feel like a gimmick to suction as much money out of you as possible.
