the best thing you can do for your trip - It was the most amazing experience I have ever had. I like to think I’m a pretty adventurous person and this absolutely did it for me. From the moment we got picked up by our tour guide, Lalo, to the second we got dropped off. At first I was a bit hesitant just bc of how early they picked us up and then it was a 2 hours drive from where we were to Chichén Itzá. Along the way there, Lalo unloaded so much information that I’m pretty sure I can recite verbatim. It was so interesting to hear all the history that took place and put it into perspective. The whole day felt like a fever dream. After Chichén Itzá, we were taken to a nice restaurant where we had the most beautiful setting. Then taken to a breath taking cenote that we got to ourselves. Lalo took us to a not so public area and for that I’m forever grateful because I felt like I was in a movie every second of it. If you are contemplating on booking this, I say so yourself a favor and book it immediately! This experience was one I won’t ever forget and honestly I’m so happy we picked this over Xcaret. Everything about it was so personal and much better than booking with a large group.

Chichén Itzá tour - private day tour - Day tour to Chichén Itzá, Valladolid and a swim in a cenote. Eduardo picked us up promptly at 6.30am and after quite a long drive ( as we were staying in Playa del Carmen ) we arrived at Chicken Itzá were we were shown around by another guide, as Eduardo is waiting to renew his licence. We had a very good explanation of the site and we kept in the shade as much as possible as it was so hot ! The “clapping” to produce the bird sound is so incredible , so is the explanation of the way the main building was built. After our tour , we drove to Valladolid where we had a very nice lunch and a quick tour of the area , again it was so hot ! And lastly we ended up in a Cenote for a much needed swim. Eduardo was great and kept us entertained all day.

Best. Tour. Ever. - Hands down best tour you could choose. Ask for Julio to be your guide! He was incredibly knowledgeable & answered all of our questions. He was good about giving tips and was very honest with us about all aspects of the visit. The fact that you are able to have someone drive you to and from, and be able to stop where you need to, makes this tour levels above the rest. They provide you with water if you need it, and having a car with cool AC beats sitting in a bus with a bunch of other people. I truly learned so much on this tour, and you can tell that Julio enjoys his job. Make sure to read the full instructions since you’ll need to have some cash handy for some of the toll road fees. Don’t choose anyone else! Take this tour!!

Highlight of Cancun trip - Overall everything was just great. Our guide Joshua is very knowledgeable and is willing to share his unique experiences, including things related to our places of interests and also various actual cultural and socioeconomic environment of Mexico, making even the long drive rewarding. We're able to get to Chichén Itzá before the large tour groups and left before they start to arrive in bulk, and the cenote was just great and beyond our expectations.

Wonderful day in Yucatan! - We came to Cancún with our two young daughters. We wanted them to get out of the resort and learn a bit about Mayan culture and history. We did not want to waste time on a crowded bus spending time with drop offs and pick ups so we booked this private tour. It was the best decision and the highlight of our visit to Mexico! Julio picked us up bright and early at our hotel and we headed into the Yucatan. He taught us so many things about the history of the area on the way to Chichen Itza. We were one of the first people into the site and he showed us everything and explained all the details of each ruin all before the crowds and heat arrived. Then we went to valladolid for a late breakfast at a hotel restaurant which was very delicious! We wanted to buy some Mexican dresses and he showed us some shops. Finally the Cenote to cool off after all the explorations. It was incredible! What a wonderful day with Julio! It was like having a family friend show you around town! I highly recommend this tour for the most enjoyable experience!

A fantastic day at Chichen - My wife & I did a private tour with Allen of Mexico Highlights. He picked us up at our hotel. I was in a wheel chair & she has hearing aids. I got to have 5 hrs. of conversation re: Mayan culture,. religion, life, etc. which really enhanced the Chichen experience. Allen pushed me in the chair; my wife wouldn't have been able to do that with that terrain. He & Joel talked to us; neither of us had to ask them to repeat anything. Allen was extremely courteous, and yet very personable. The lunch buffet was spectacular. He introduced us to all the buffet items including how they were made. It was a fantastic experience, far beyond our expectations. A small, but great company to work with.
