The coolest wawi 🥰 - Everything was wonderful on the tour, Fabián Solis' assistance was wonderful. We enjoyed everything very much and the buffet left us super satisfied 👏

Great tour, highly recommend! - jacobo, fabian, roberto, eduardo were all very friendly, nice, punctual and informative. the whole tour took about 12 hours with multiple stops including a mayan town, a cenote and chichen itza. overall this experience was really great. would recommend this tour to anyone who wants to explore these kinda of things. not a bad price for the whole thing either. thank you so much!

Does not worth the price and the time spent during the entire day - Poor organisation: after an endless pickup from all the hotels around (1h), we actually had to change the bus at the before going with the real group. Of course the announcement is made in Spanish or in very bad English, even though I chose "English" as the spoken language for the tour. After 2h drive, we were dropped at a touristic place where a "real Mayan market" is awaiting for us. It turned out it's just one of those market where you find the same obsidian objects as in many other touristic shops, where the sellers do everything to make you spend money. We spent 2h at this place, consisting of demonstration of Mayan culture but mainly...waiting for what comes next and shopping. Rest of the tour was Cenote, Chichen Itza and Villadolid. Unfortunately we had to rush for the rest of the day, only 1:30 for Cenote+lunch, the same for Chichen Itza. For Villadolid we had...20 min. My advice: find some people and rent a car. Not only you will save time and money, but you will also escape from the aggressive marketing approach.

Very little time in Chichen Itza - My interest was to know Chichen Itza. It was the last part of the tour, when the heat was scorching. We knew we would be there for 2 hours, but more than half of the time was consumed by access and the guide's explanation at the foot of the pyramid. By the time we were *liberated" there was no time left to access the Observatory. I think the tour is poorly put together. First you have to go to the ruins to be more comfortable. And then take a tour of them, with the guide who pays for something. And that the 2 hours are real. I'm not interested in the cenote, nor the craft workshop, nor the lunch. And it's not Mayab's fault, all the tours, all the agencies, are like that. It would have been better for me to have gone on my own, with all the transportation inconveniences... but I would have known the ruins well. There is plenty of informative material on the web. TIP: if you want to know the ruins well, do not take these tours.

Not recommended! Avoid at all cost! - Where to start! Cenote, Chichen Itza and Valladolid are worth visiting, but we should spend more time at Chichen and Valladolid. We booked the tour from the travel agent in Cancun. We were instructed to be ready for pick up at 7:20. We were picked up almost an hour later. We were told that we can pay for the tour by Credit Card, but on the day of the tour, we could pay by card only with a 5 % surcharge. On the bus they were selling beverage packages, having 3 categories - basic, deluxe and diamond, which is fine. But in case you did not buy the package you got different sticker than others. And if you did not buy the package you were ignored the whole tour and got no attention from "guides" at all. I put guides in brackets, because those guys were mostly waiters serving drinks on the bus and at certain sights. We paid for the tour 80 USD. There were lots of Spanish speaking people on the bus, not Mexicans though, who paid for the tour 70 USD, but they had drinks included and also got breakfast. First stop was Mayan village. We spent almost 2 hours there, Mayas trying to persuade us to buy overpriced obsidian items. When leaving the bus, they took a photo of us which was put on the overpriced bottle of local brandy, which they tried to sell us on the bus. Next on the programme was the city of Valladolid, but we skipped it, because we had to drop off one of the "guides" in the nearby Mayan village. Cenote itself was ok. But again, only entrance was included, life vest was not. And you can not go for a swim without a vest. So we were forced to pay another 3 USD for life vest in order to be able to swim. Lunch was average at best. Chichen Itza is a great place. First we got 1 hour guided tour, followed by 40 minutes of free time, which was not enough. On the way back to Cancun we stopped at the colonial city of Valladolid, where we got 20 minutes of free time to walk around the main square. Not enough of course. At the end we got a speech about tipping. The guide literally said, if you wish to give 1 or 2 USD, rather give nothing. He suggested to give 10, 20 or even 50 USD. I have no problem giving a tip for good service. But this tour was bad, I gave it 2 stars only because we got to see Chichen Itza. So at the end I gave no tip at all. I really did not like that they segregate passengers based on the sticker, which you get after buying/not buying the beverage package. The attitude of "guides" was bad as well, so I do not recommend going on a tour with this agency. But when booking from a travel agent, unfortunately you don`t know which agency is operating the tour.

Overcharged for an average excursion - Booked through an agent who charged us for the all inclusive (Lux, Deluxe package or something like that) but wrote on our invoice that we’d only paid for the “Classico” package. We tried to explain this to the two tour guides who could see very well the price we’d paid, but they couldn’t care less and quickly dismissed us “speak to the agent - nothing to do with us”. We text the agent and no surprise, he read it but didn’t message us back. Didn’t want to pay further for an upgrade so stuck with our own bottled water. This could have been easily rectified by Mayab as the beer and water is hardly the expensive kind, but instead they chose to dismiss us which just resulted in us feeling contempt for them for the rest of the trip. No idea if this was some kind of scam by the agent or Mayab to get more money from holiday makers. Either way it worked out double of what we should have paid so beware. Basically agree with most of the other 1-2 star reviews, this isn’t a great excursion and the company uses the Trip Advisor logo on their uniforms peddling “2021 Travellers Choice Awards”. Having looked back over the reviews from that time period I find that hard to believe. Despite the above, we’re giving two stars as the Cenote was a highlight as was Chichen itza but as for the rest of it, we spent 2 hours picking people up from hotels, about 20 minutes in Valladolid then wasted time at the supposed Mayan Village and Shaman which in our opinion, was just toilet stop followed by a series of pushing unwanted sales on you. Tip: don’t be scammed like us by the agents peddling this trip in the Hotel Zone and instead book it yourself via Trip Advisor or Viator.

Not for English speaking tourists! Poor communication! - Very disappointed with the running of this tour. The bus was late to pick us up from our hotel. We then needed to get off the bus and wait at a bus stop for a different bus. Not great with two children. When we got to the first stop (cenote and lunch), there was very little communication regarding the schedule as there was more of a focus to spend money at the shop. So there was a lot of hanging around, followed by a lot of rushing to get the activities done. The cenote was extremely over crowded. We likened it to the scene in the titanic with all the passengers floating in the sea. NB: there are additional costs. US$18 pp for life vest hire, 1 drink for lunch, locker and goggles. But you could hire the life vest for US$3 The tour was definitely targeted at Spanish speaking tourists.

Find your bud asap and confirm it’s the bus you are assigned. - The bus left us so we took a taxi to the location. It was a 4 hour drive. We stayed at the pyramids entrance for approximately 5 hours until the bus arrived and we explained the situation and the guides were not helpful and brushed us off. We didn’t enter any of the tours the entire day and we took a public transit back to our hotel. In total from 6 am until 8 pm we wasted an entire day.

Tour guide good. Everything else bad. - I was outside for pickup at correct hotel at 7am. Bus never showed up. I called trip advisor about 830 and they told me bus arrived early and left without us. I was told to take a cab to another hotel and I would be reimbursed to rejoin tour. I took a cab, I was never reimbursed and I was put on a different tour. I had paid for an ATV excursion, which didnt happen and I wasnt reimbursed for a taxi ride.
