After learning about Yucatan’s cuisine, discover it’s amazing and unique cenote, which is operated by a cooperative made up of mostly local women. Take a refreshing swim in the blue waters of the cenote and opt to add on activities like zip-lining or rappelling between its vertical walls. Finish your visit with a delicious, traditional meal in the restaurant of the cooperative.

Fantastic Visit! - What a wonderful day! Co'ox Mayab organized a wonderful tour and visit for us of Chichen Itza with a very knowledgeable guide, a fantastic dip in the Yokdzonot Cenote and mini-cooking class, and they added on a visit to a Mayan community center. This was a great way to get to know the area and support sustainable community tourism. We highly recommend participating with Co'ox Mayab.

Exceptional Hospitality and Community Commitment: A Must-Have Experience - An amazing experience. The staff were exceptionally hospitable and resourceful, always eager to answer our questions and direct us to the best locations. Their unwavering commitment to the peninsula and the community was truly inspiring. Overall, I highly recommend this outstanding experience and the extraordinarily helpful staff.

Best Experience Ever! - I cannot day enough about this amazing experience! Ismael was such a great guide. He was courteous and kind and accommodating. He took care of everything and made sure we enjoyed all of our experiences to the fullest.
Now the excursion itself...humbling is probably the word I would use the most. Chichen and it’s history as massive story was our start. Next...we had a personal cooking class with the most amazing women at the Yok Co-Op. They were patient and funny and so very informative. They take great pride in traditional Mayan cooking and we were in awe of the freshness and flavors that come from such traditional methods. These women are collectively doing so much for the town and community and the pride in their work and efforts is just incredible. The Cenote was a great finish to our day. Refreshing and beautiful and calm. We wanted one away from the main tourist type places and one that was easy to get in and out of and Yok was just ideal and perfect.
This excursion is a journey and a lesson rich in Mayan history and we are so deeply grateful for a perfect day.
