Absolutely Amazing!!! - My husband and I recently returned home to Canada after spending 5 days on Easter Island. We are so glad we chose Kava Kava tours to show us around this wonderful Island. Our tour guide, Sebatian, is a local Rapanui. Our first day was cancelled due to a heavy downpour, but Sebatian made sure we visited every site in the days to follow. Sebatian was so very friendly, accommodating and knowledgeable. We could not have wished for a better experience. We highly recommend using Kava Kava Tours!

Improveable - TOUR OF 2 FULL DAYS + 2 HALF DAYS. Conducted in March 2025. I hired a private tour (for myself only) with them after reading good reviews (they are mentioned in Lonely Planet). Do not forget that to access the National Park you must have a guide or host. Park entrance fee is payable in part, 80 USD at the time of the visit. Fast email contact, good communication, small discount on final price. The planning they offer includes most sites of interest for a short visit like mine (3 days). I pay over 1000 USD convinced, because it is a place that you visit ‘Once a life’ if you can; I accept the dearness of the destination given its particularity (remote, special and in which tourism is the main source of work). The experience: Right tour and guide but no added value for the price paid (Remember it was a private tour for me only). To be improved: -The plan was accomplished in a hurry and without too much detail. A full day turned into half a day. - No hours of less influx of tourists or better light hours to take photos were contemplated. The plan was to be implemented as stipulated. Poor flexibility and very measured times. Excessive price. Include a single meal of the full 2 days in a correct place. Remember that they do NOT include entrance to the National Park NOR transfers to/from the airport. They do NOT provide a map and there is no company souvenir. If they provide a bottle of water daily. IMPORTANT: 2 of the island's must-see highlights (Ranu Raraku and the ceremonial village of Orongo) can only be visited once. The rest more times, the entrance fee is valid for 10 days after the first archaeological site is visited. DEMAND YOUR TIME HERE IF IT IS A PRIVATE TOUR, BECAUSE THEY ARE MAGNIFICENT. The guide explained it to me at Rano Raraku, where we had the food, which conditioned the visit. I forced it in Orongo by staying longer in the small but very interesting exhibition of the entrance, where my guide passed simply to the entrance and exit. Anyway, right without more, which for such a place and price is little. If you are traveling alone or as a couple, I do not recommend it (In Hanga Roa there is easy to rent transport and find guide at more competitive price) If you travel in a group from 4-5 people is where the price can become interesting. If I had a chance to come back, I wouldn't repeat with them.
