Full Day Adventure: Salto Chico Visit and Hike to Mirador Condor and Cuernos
Torres del Paine National Park - After a 2-hour drive, the first stop is at Salto Chico, where walkways in the Explora hotel area offer a stunning view of the horns. This stop lasts approximately 30 minutes.
Mirador Condor Trail - Embark on a hike to Mirador CĂłndor, which is of medium-low difficulty and takes about 2 hours round trip. The trail offers breathtaking views of the Paine massif, rivers, lakes, and mountains. After the hike, enjoy a box lunch at Pehoe Campsite, which boasts a spectacular view of Lake Pehoe and the Paine massif.
Mirador Salto Grande - Visit Salto Grande and Mirador Cuernos. The walk to the viewpoint takes about 2 hours round trip, providing a unique view of Lake Nordenskjold at the base of the Cuernos, showcasing them in their full glory. The journey continues with a 30-minute drive to the Lake Nordenskjold viewpoint along the roadside.
Cascada del Rio Paine - Spend an hour at the Paine waterfall, where the Paine River flows into Lake Nordenskjold. This area offers an incredible view of the Torres del Paine.
Laguna Amarga - The final stop of the tour is at Laguna Amarga. After 2 hours, you will arrive in Puerto Natales and be dropped off at your accommodation.
Grey Navigation and Milodon Cave Visit
Navigation of Lago Grey - Pick-up is at 6:30 am.
- Enter through the Rio Serrano gate, and after a 2-hour drive, check in at the Grey Hotel. At 9 am, after check-in, head to Pingo, where the vehicle is left, and the guide accompanies you to the boat. A Grey guide will join you during the navigation, which includes an English-speaking guide on board and a sour calafate.
- After 2 hours and 45 minutes of navigation, meet the driver and guide.
- Following the Grey navigation, visit Mirador del RĂo del Serrano, Lago Toro viewpoint, and finally, Cueva del Milodon, returning to Natales around 5:00 to 5:30 pm.
Hike to the Base Torres Viewpoint
Mirador Las Torres - Pick-up is between 5:30 and 6:00 am at your accommodation, heading to the welcome center at PorterĂa Laguna Amarga. After a 2-hour drive, the hike begins following the guide’s induction and equipment check. The goal is the viewpoint, with the guide managing hydration stops. This is a high-difficulty hike, not recommended for individuals with heart conditions or asthma. The trail is the same for both directions, and the towers are visible only at the hike’s end. In winter, if Conaf advises against the hike due to snow, option B is available: PorterĂa to PorterĂa with a view of Laguna Azul. Return to Natales is expected between 7:30 and 8:00 pm, depending on the group’s pace.

Our guides are certified professionals, each with a minimum of 17 years of experience. If CONAF (park ranger) informs us at Laguna Amarga that the trail is closed due to heavy snow, we offer an alternative route from gate to gate, including a visit to Laguna Azul.
