Touring the Christian monuments, experiencing the ancient temple ruins, and enjoying a spectacular sunset from a river boat ride are all part of this delightful tour. Kayaking in Rain on a Private Island - We went for a Kayaking Trip to a wonderful Private island & despite heavy rain , we had a wonderful time n learnt the skill to do kayaking, which was a unique experience. We went around the island kayaking n then enjoyed archery along with hot tea & pakodas which was perfect in the rain. The guide Karan is an exceptional person , he is very helpful & accommodating… he got all wet just to teach us archery & was extremely courteous. Thanks to Soul Travelling Team for this unique experience. Regards , Kshitiz

An amazing time exploring Divar Island - We had the most amazing time exploring Divar island. An extremely well organised and fun trip, all thanks to the very knowledgeable Koonan! The highlight of the trip was definitely the Feni tasting, where we had so much fun trying to guess the infusions, followed closely by going on a boat to explore the mangroves. Divar island is stunning and Soul Traveling (Koonan) made this a very memorable experience for us. I’m looking forward to going on another guided tour (or two or three!) with them, next time I’m in Foa.

Divar Island Adventure: Where Bangaloreans meets a Goan Guide! - Forget the crowded beaches and thumping nightclubs! My Goan adventure took a delightful detour to Divar Island, and let me tell you, it was anything but boring. Here's the lowdown on this fantastic guided trail, complete with ancient ruins, a charming church, and a hilarious guide named Karan who made the whole thing a blast! Our journey began with a picturesque ferry ride across the Mandovi River. The cool breeze, the gentle bobbing of the boat – it was the perfect way to unwind and soak in the Goan vibes. As soon as we set foot on Divar, we were greeted by Karan, our enthusiastic ambassador for the day. Now, Karan wasn't your average tour guide. This guy had the energy of a hummingbird on Red Bull, but in the best way possible! His jokes were cheesy but his passion for Divar Island was infectious. First stop: The Ruins of Sapthakoteshwar. Sounds fancy, right? Well, it was! We explored the remnants of this ancient temple complex, and Karan, with his bottomless well of knowledge, brought the history alive. He weaved tales of Hindu mythology and explained the significance of the ruins in a way that was both informative and entertaining. (Basically everything started from Cricket🙈) Next, we ambled towards Our Lady of Piety Church. This quaint little church, bathed in the warm Goan sunshine, offered a moment of serenity. Karan, ever the showman, pointed out some fascinating architectural details. But the real highlight of the trail was the boat ride through the mesmerizing mangrove forests of the Mandovi River. The dense network of trees, the tangled roots reaching out from the water – it felt like stepping into another world. Karan, ever the comedian, kept us entertained with his tales of exotic creatures lurking in the mangroves. We have spotted any elusive crocodiles but the vibrant birdlife and the peaceful atmosphere were simply magical. Overall, the Divar Island guided trail was a fantastic experience. It was a perfect blend of history, nature, and of course, Karan's infectious humor. We learned a bunch of new things, got a healthy dose of fresh air, and created memories that will last a lifetime. If you're looking for a unique and off-the-beaten-path adventure in Goa, this guided trail is an absolute must-do! Just be prepared for some cheesy jokes and a whole lot of fun! Last but not least Big shoutout to KARAN THE GREAT for making this such a memorable experience. Your enthusiasm and knowledge are truly commendable.

Hidden gems, Goa'n history and Fenny - Forget the crowded beaches and blaring music – if you're looking for a unique Goan adventure, then a guided trail on Divar Island is where it's at! Our day started with a thrilling ferry ride across the Mandovi River. The scenery set the perfect tone for an offbeat exploration with our ambasador Karan. Divar Island itself is a breath of fresh air – lush greenery, quaint villages, and a peaceful vibe that washes away all your worries. Our first stop was the Ruins of Saptha Koteshwar. Now, ruins can sometimes feel a bit…well, ruined. But Karan, our amazing guide, brought the whole place to life! He weaved tales of ancient temples, mysterious deities, and the island's rich history (connecting it all to Fenny :p ). It felt like those crumbling stones became a portal to the past, and I swear I goosebumps just thinking about the bygone eras. We also visited Our Lady of Piety Church. This beautiful church, bathed in the warm Goan sunlight, was a sight to behold. Karan shared fascinating facts about its Portuguese architecture and the role it played in the island's cultural tapestry. He explained a few legends associated with the Church, the Bell and the local beliefs. Next was the boat tour through the Mandovi mangroves. Gliding through these emerald waterways, surrounded by the symphony of chirping birds and the water flow, it was pure magic. Karan with Amruth our Boat owner, pointed out all sorts of interesting flora and fauna – from towering trees with intricate root systems to shy creatures peeking out from the undergrowth. We even managed to identify a few elusive birds by their calls alone, and know a bit more about the mangroves and its ancient creatures( crocs: D). We ended the trail while having wonderful snacks with a mesmerizing sunset backdrop. The entire trail was a delightful mix of information and entertainment. Karan's knowledge of the island was phenomenal, but he also knew how to keep things light and engaging. He peppered the tour with funny anecdotes, local legends, and even a few jokes. The whole experience felt like an interactive treasure hunt, where we were constantly learning and discovering new things. By the end of the day, I felt like I had truly experienced the soul of Divar Island. It wasn't just about sightseeing; it was about immersing yourself in the island's history, culture, and natural beauty. And a big part of that amazing experience was Karan. He is truly an ambassador to this hidden Goan paradise. The best part of it all was how it could all be linked to Fenny and cashews. :D

A Must-Try Experience! - The Island Exploration at Divar trail with Soul Traveling, with Omkar as our ambassador, was the highlight of our Goa trip this summer. We had heard about Divar and were wanting to visit it for a long time. The guided tour of the island with Omkar made the visit worth the wait. Omkar’s passion for the island and its history brought its stories to life. The Saptokoteshwar temple site and its history were fascinating. The trail also included a relaxing boat ride with Mr Amrut (from Goa.Say.Boatride). Mr Amrut’s knowledge about the mangroves was extremely impressive. He helped us identify various varieties of mangroves and explained their significance in Goa’s marine ecosystem. We also managed to spot two crocodiles napping between the mangroves during our boat ride! Finally, the feni tasting experience at the Island Bar and Restaurant with Mr. Anil Durbhatkar added another memorable dimension to this trail. The snacks he made for us were also very tasty and fresh. Will definitely recommend this trail to anyone looking for an offbeat Goa experience!

Goa as not normally seen ! - Decided to see the ‘unspoilt ‘ parts of Goa so chose a trip to Divar Island . Our guide from Soul Travelling was Omkar with whom we connected instantly . He is warm and welcoming and narrated the the myths in addition to the historical facts . The trip covered a church which was a lookout by the Portuguese for other colonialists, ancient temple escalations , a boat trip and yes - Feni tasting ! Many thanks to our boat navigator ( Amrut Kaka ) who explained the details of the river , the types of trees and also the wild life ( didn’t see any crocs ) . The Feni tasting quiz ( we had to guess the flavours ) was at Anil Kaka’s home and we had some lovely green chutney sandwiches and Goan cutlets . And pulling it all together was Omkar - who was always cheerful and willing to show us the real Goa and how proud he was to be a Goan . ( This was appreciated as we are Goan too) Kudos to Soul Travelling for their clear communication once we booked the trip .

Omkar, our trail guide, is such a vivid and illustrious orator and story-teller, who really elevates the entire experience. He is extremely knowledgeable, empathetic and friendly. The trail is not only well-curated, but so well executed and researched that it leaves you in such awe of the history of our beautiful state of Goa and the making of it. Highly highly recommend Soul Travelling and Omkar, who both make for the perfect off-beat experience!
