Great diversity of food plus good conversation! - I really enjoyed the tour because of the diversity of food and the conversation with the guides and other guest. Definitely recommend it and wish I would have done the same tour in Beijing!

Great experience of local eats! - This is our second time taking a tour from UnTour Shanghai. We did one over 10 years ago! And both times have been amazing! Eat like a local is truly the right tagline for this kind of tour. We got to experience delicious small mom and pop restaurants that only the locals know about. We walked along the little streets and small shops. We took our kids, 12 and 9 years old. Our tour guide did a great job of including them and keeping them engaged without the tour being overly kid-focused. The whole family enjoyed the things we tried. It's great to be a little adventurous, but not everyone tried everything, and that was okay. There was a lot of food to try and enough variety, that everyone felt like they experienced something cool.

Great experience, Topher was an amazing guide ! - After over 15 years in Shanghai, we discovered some new places and delicious dishes!!

Experience food from all over China in one tour! - I had so much amazing food on this tour! As a first-timer for both Shanghai and China as a whole, I love that this tour incorporates authentic food from many regions of the country. I felt I got a little taste of everything and was even encouraged to be adventurous with some of the food choices (no spoilers as to what it was 😉). Paul our tour guide was so knowledgable and gave great history on each regional cuisine. He also had a great sense of humor which made the tour all the more enjoyable. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone who wants a wholistic and authentic approach to eating in Shanghai!

A great way to see and taste Shanghai. - I lived in Shanghai for a couple years 10 years ago and this was my first trip back. The Night Eats tour was a great way to get to see parts of Shanghai I would not have seen on a quick business trip, eat great food from around China, and hear about what it is like to live in Shanghai and how it has changed over the the years.

A real feast! - We really enjoyed the food tour and spending some time with our excellent guide Paul. The food was amazing, but make sure you go hungry as it's a real feast! It was really interesting to hear about Paul's experience of China as a foreigner living there, and he gave us a real insight into metropolitan Shanghai! Would highly recommend.

Fantastic and authentic experience - The food tour was fantastic - we were guided wonderfully by Paul through the different streets of Shanghai (sad it was raining) but the service and dishes he ordered were phenomenal. We had the
opportunity to try different regional Chinese food through the tour and were stuffed by the end, save space for this before you arrive as there is a lot of good food on the tour.
I only wish that given the heavy rain, we had the opportunity to take the metro or Didi’s around given the price point but the weather was an external factor. That said, Paul did his utmost best and had extra umbrellas on hand which was a saving grace for us. Thank you for a fantastic time!

Night Time is the Right Time - Went on this tour with our amazing tour guide Paul, and it was a DELIGHT. I have family in Shanghai and have visited many times, but this tour still managed to introduce me to new things. There's a great variety of food/drink on this tour, and it's very much a snapshot of both Shanghai food history and what's in vogue in the here and now. And most importantly, it is delicious. We literally went back to some locations the day after the tour, because they were that good.
Also, Paul as a guide was wonderful. Knowledgeable and patient (even in the face of stupid questions lmao), he made this a great experience for the full group. Highly recommended!
