- Sacred Valley of the Incas - Departure at 8 am. The journey begins with a 45-minute drive to the quaint town of Chinchero, where visitors can learn about the ancient arts and textile techniques practiced by the locals. The tour continues to Moray, an Incan agricultural testing site, passing through stunning valleys and offering views of the snow-capped Andes peaks. The Incas ingeniously carved dome-like structures into the ground to experiment with optimal growing temperatures for various crops. After a 30-minute exploration, the tour proceeds with a 15-minute drive to Maras, where the ancient salt mines are explored. Here, 3,000 salt pools carved into the mountain are fed by a mountain stream. After exploring this area, the tour continues with a 45-minute drive to the final stop at Ollantaytambo before returning to Cusco. Visitors can admire well-preserved features such as the Temple of the Sun and Manyaraqui Square, along with the massive rock structures, terraces, and steps leading to the highest point. Return to Cusco is expected by 4/5 pm.
