Here, we will explore agricultural terraces, the remnants of Túpac Inca Yupanqui’s royal estate, a beautiful colonial temple built on Inca foundations, and witness the entire wool process from washing to spinning into exquisite textiles.
- Moray - • Next, we visit the renowned circular terraces of Moray, where we will see several natural depressions that served as agricultural terraces for experimentation during the Inca era.
- Salinas de Maras - • We then proceed to the Salineras de Maras, where we will observe the traditional salt extraction process dating back to Inca times. The Maras Salt Mines, also known as “salt mines,” consist of around 3,000 salt ponds and are notable for their construction on the Kachi Qata mountain and Inca architecture.
- Archaeological Park Ollantaytambo - • Our journey continues to the Ollantaytambo Fortress, built to guard the valley’s entrance and protect it from potential jungle invasions.
- Urubamba - • We then travel to Urubamba for a buffet lunch.
- Pisac - • After lunch, we head to Pisac to visit the Pisac Archaeological Complex, constructed during the reign of Inka Pachacuteq. Its strategic location atop a mountain offers a panoramic view of the valley leading to Antisuyo.
The tour concludes with a return to Cusco, arriving at approximately 7:00 p.m.
