Really nice tour - The tour began right on time. The boat looked to be rather new. I am currently physically challenged due to needing hip replacement surgery, and it was very easy getting on board. Within just a few minutes the captain found almost a dozen ponies hanging out together right on the water's edge. We got about 15 minutes to observe and get pictures. There was a couple of young ponies, probably born this year. We moved on and Cap spotted a beautiful bald eagle perched high in a tree. Next there was a large group of various shore birds, several very active dolphins, and a great view of the Assateague lighthouse to finish it up. The ride was smooth, and Cap offered several tidbits of information. The only thing that was lacking was safety information, like life jacket location on board.

Great experience. - We had a great time. The tour was small and personal. Though not guaranteed, we did get to see ponies really close. The captain was friendly.

Nice View of the Ponies - We enjoyed the tour. The ponies were out at the first of our tour, but the tide was low, so my husband, a photographer, had a hard time getting the ponies in front of the lighthouse. BUT, after we had toured other parts of the island, we went back to the same spot and had an incredible view because the tide was rising. We were able to get close. Our tour guide gave some information along the way, but didn’t talk much because of the boat motor noise. He would slow the motor down to answer our questions, and we appreciated that. I envied the kayakers because they were able to get really close to the shore for a view. The bait was very comfortable and a shaded area was available for seating. There were 6 people on the boat tour.
