A Perfect Way to See the Canyon - We took a 4-hour private tour into the canyon. Jarvin Yazzie was a great tour guide, enthusiastic, knowledgeable, friendly. Jarvin arrived in a Hummer that took the ride into the canyon without roads well. Not only did we experience the beauty of the canyon, we learned a lot about the history and the Navajo culture. We saw the amazing ruins and drawings. We highly recommend this tour.

A memorable tour of Canyon de Chelly - Canyon de Chelly was our last stop on a two week tour of the canyons from Utah to New Mexico. We thought nothing could compare to the vast canyons we had already visited. But soon after our guide Richard picked us up in his jeep and drove us along the Canyon's floor we realized we were on a very special tour. He walked us through slot caves. He recounted the history of ancient Pueblo people whose homes survive today high up in the canyon's caves. His knowledge of the history was so detailed that he pointed out the small holes carved along cave walls that were used as toe-holds by early inhabitants to climb up to homes perched hundreds of feet above ground. What made our tour so compelling was Richard's deep reverence for nature and challenges overcome by his Navajo ancestors. Thank you Richard for such a memorable experience.

EXCELLENT - Top shelf tour. Met up at hotel as requested which was great. Our guide, Percy, was extremely knowledgeable having grown up in the canyon. We discussed many things beyond the canyon including the community and so on. I rarely give 5 stars to anything, but was earned here. NOTE: 1. Before entering the canyon you have to pay an $8 fee per person IN CASH. 2. Really bumpy so beware.

Sharing their love of their culture and Canyon with others - We chose this company because of its high rating and it was well worth it. We took a 5 hour private tour. Reggie was our tour guide- request him if you can. At every stop we were able to get out of his Jeep and walk around and get many pictures and he would explained to us the history in detail of that area- be it petroglyphs or the Anasazi dwellings. We were able to enjoy seeing “Henry” the wild donkey and his harem of wild horses. Reggie’s family had lived in the Canyon and he is very knowledgeable of its history. He played his pipe for us and demonstrated how the People used an atlatl for hunting. The Canyon de Chelly tours do a fantastic job of sharing their culture and their love of the Canyon with others.

Couldn't have asked for a better tour!! - Our guide, Reggie, was WONDERFUL!! He was so full of knowledge about the Navajos as well as the rich history of Canyon DeChelly. He played his Indian flute for us several times, and that really added to the experience. I can't say enough about what a terrific guide he is and how he considerably enhanced our appreciation of the Canyon.

A special experience - The tour was inspirational, beautiful and emotional. Reggie was our guide and we could not have asked for a better experience. Reggie answered all of our questions and took the time to carefully explain the importance, significance and history of the canyon in Navajo lore. Reggie brought to life aspects of the canyon which one could easily overlook. Without doubt, the highlight was the two occasions when we got out of the car and Reggie played haunting Navajo melodies on his flute. Several of us literally shed tears in the empty expanse of the canyon as the mournful notes of the flute reverberated against the canyon walls. The ride to Chinle is well worth the effort. Ask for Reggie to be your guide.

Somewhat disappointed - The description of this 3 hour tour says that you will see Antelope Ruin. Our guide said we would not be going that far and that Antelope is only included in the 4 hour tour. I feel we were mislead and didn’t get a full 3 hour tour. Our guide could have moved around a little more quickly and we would have had plenty of time to see Antelope. We did see some amazing things but at the end of the day this was not what I had expected based on the description.
